Apparatus for treating a condition of a subject, comprising: an energy transmitter, configured to be positioned outside a body of the subject; anda control unit, configured to:drive the energy transmitter to transmit ultrasonic energy to a site elected from the group consisting of: a sphenopalatine ganglion (SPG), a greater palatine nerve, a lesser palatine nerve, a sphenopalatine nerve, a communicating branch between a maxillary nerve and an SPG, an otic ganglion, an afferent fiber going into the otic ganglion, an efferent fiber going out of the otic ganglion, an infraorbital nerve, a vidian nerve, a greater superficial petrosal nerve, and a lesser deep petrosal nerve, andconfigure the ultrasonic energy to stimulate the site to induce an increase in cerebral blood flow (CBF) of the subject. 2. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the site includes the SPG of the subject, and wherein the energy transmitter is configured to transmit the energy to the SPG. 3. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the control unit is configured to configure the energy to have a strength sufficient to stimulate the site, and insufficient to substantially stimulate brain tissue of the subject. 4. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the energy transmitter is configured to be positioned in a vicinity of a temporomandibular joint of the subject. 5. The apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a support structure, which is coupled to the energy transmitter, and configured to position the energy transmitter outside the body in the vicinity of the site. 6. The apparatus according to claim 5, wherein the support structure is shaped so as to be placed around at least a portion of a head of the subject. 7. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the control unit is configured to drive the energy transmitter to focus the energy on the site. 8. A method for treating a condition of a subject, comprising: treating the condition by transmitting, from outside a body of the subject, ultrasonic energy to a site selected from the group consisting of: a sphenopalatine ganglion (SPG), a greater palatine nerve, a lesser palatine nerve, a sphenopalatine nerve, a communicating branch between a maxillary nerve and an SPG, an otic ganglion, an afferent fiber going into the otic ganglion, an efferent fiber going out of the otic ganglion, an infraorbital nerve, a vidian nerve, a greater superficial petrosal nerve, and a lesser deep petrosal nerve; andconfiguring the ultrasonic energy to stimulate the site. 9. The method according to claim 8, wherein configuring the energy comprises configuring the energy to induce an increase in cerebral flood flow (CBF) of the subject. 10. The method according to claim 8, wherein the site includes the SPG of the subject, and wherein transmitting the energy comprises transmitting the energy to the SPG. 11. The method according to claim 8, wherein configuring the energy comprises configuring the energy to have a strength sufficient to stimulate the site, and insufficient to substantially stimulate brain tissue of the subject. 12. The method according to claim 8, wherein transmitting the energy comprises transmitting the energy from a vicinity of a temporomandibular joint of the subject. 13. The method according to claim 8, wherein transmitting the energy comprises transmitting the energy from around at least a portion of a head of the subject. 14. The method according to claim 8, wherein transmitting the energy comprises focusing the energy on the site.
