A material capable for trapping a flammable gas such as hydrogen comprising at least one metal oxide in a cementitious matrix is disclosed. According to some aspects, the preparation of such a material and its different uses are also disclosed.
1. A geopolymeric cementitious matrix that traps flammable gas comprising: at least one metal oxide in a cementitious matrix, wherein the metal oxide is selected from the group consisting of manganese oxide, silver oxide, and mixtures thereof. 2. The geopolymeric cementitious matrix according to claim 1, wherein the flammable gas is hydrogen. 3.
