The carrying case is constructed without protrusions and with a rigid handle, which combine to allow easy removal and deployment of the contents from a vehicle storage location to a cardiac arrest patient. The carrying case integrates a actuator to periodically test the operation of the defibrillator push buttons.

The carrying case of claim 1 wherein the defibrillator push button tester further comprises a button tester sensor for sensing a self-test activation signal from the adjacent portable defibrillator. 3. The carrying case of claim 2 wherein the push button tester actuates the extensible button actuator against an underlying button in the adjacent defibrillator in response to the sensed self-test activation signal. 4. The carrying case of claim 2 wherein the button tester sensor is a light sensor. 5. The carrying case of claim 2 wherein the button tester sensor is a wireless sensor. 6. The carrying case of claim 1 further comprising a replaceable push button tester battery.
