The downhole tool of claim 1, the downhole tool further comprising: a first cone disposed around the composite mandrel and proximate a second end of the seal element;a metal slip disposed around the composite mandrel and engaged with an angled surface of the first cone; anda bearing plate disposed around the composite mandrel, wherein the bearing plate is configured to transfer load from a setting sleeve to the metal slip;wherein the composite slip is adjacent an external tapered surface of a second cone, and wherein the lower sleeve is disposed around the composite mandrel and proximate a tapered end of the metal slip. 3. The downhole tool of claim 2, wherein the set of threads comprise round threads. 4. The downhole tool of claim 3, wherein the metal slip is formed of hardened cast iron, and wherein the metal slip is configured with a low density material disposed therein. 5. The downhole tool of claim 4, wherein the low density material is glass bubble filled epoxy. 6. The downhole tool of claim 2, wherein the downhole tool is configured as a frac plug. 7. The downhole tool of claim 1, wherein the composite mandrel is made from filament wound composite material, and wherein the threads are shear threads or rounded threads. 8. The downhole tool of claim 1, wherein upon setting the downhole tool, the first portion expands in a radial direction away from the axis, and wherein the composite member and the seal element compress together to form a reinforced barrier therebetween. 9. The downhole tool of claim 8, wherein the composite slip comprises a plurality of inserts disposed therearound, each of the plurality of inserts configured with a flat surface facing toward the wellbore, and wherein the downhole tool is a frac plug or a bridge plug. 10. A method of setting a downhole tool in order to isolate one or more sections of a wellbore, the method comprising: running the downhole tool into the wellbore to a desired position, the downhole tool comprising: a mandrel having at least one set of threads;a composite slip disposed about the mandrel, the composite slip further comprising a circular slip body having one-piece configuration with at least partial connectivity around the entire circular slip body, and at least two grooves disposed therein;a composite member disposed about the mandrel, wherein the composite member is made of a first material and comprises a first portion and a second portion, wherein the first portion comprises at least one groove, and wherein a second material is bonded to the first portion and at least partially fills into the at least one groove,placing the mandrel under a tensile load that causes a cone to engage the composite slip and expand the circular slip body outwardly into at least partial engagement with a surrounding tubular; anddisconnecting the downhole tool from a setting device coupled therewith when the tensile load is sufficient to cause separation of the downhole tool from the setting device. 11. The method of claim 10, wherein a first section of the wellbore is above the tool, and a second section of the wellbore is below the tool, and wherein after setting the downhole tool fluid communication between the second section and the first section is controlled by the tool. 12. The method of claim 11, wherein the composite slip is disposed proximate to and in engagement with a second end of the cone, the method further comprising injecting a fluid from the surface into the wellbore, and subsequently into at least a portion of subterranean formation in proximate vicinity to the wellbore. 13. The method of claim 10, the method further comprising: running a second downhole tool into the wellbore after the downhole tool is set;setting the second downhole tool;performing a fracing operation; anddrilling through the downhole tool and the second downhole tool. 14. A downhole tool useable for isolating sections of a wellbore, the downhole tool comprising: a composite mandrel having at least one set of threads;a composite slip disposed about the composite mandrel, the composite slip further comprising a slip body having one-piece configuration with at least partial connectivity around the entire slip body, and at least two slip grooves disposed therein; anda composite member disposed about the mandrel, wherein the composite member is made of a first material and comprises a first portion and a second portion, wherein the first portion comprises at least one groove, and wherein a second material is bonded to the first portion and at least partially fills into the at least one groove. 15. The downhole tool of claim 14, wherein two or more of the at least two slip grooves are arranged in an alternating manner. 16. The downhole tool of claim 15, wherein the alternating manner comprises one of the least two slip grooves disposed proximate to a slip end and adjacent another groove disposed proximate to an opposite slip end. 17. The downhole tool of claim 16, wherein at least one of the slip grooves extends all the way through a slip end. 18. The downhole tool of claim 14, wherein the composite member is engaged with a sealing element, wherein the composite slip is disposed proximate to and in engagement with an end of a cone, and wherein setting of the downhole tool further comprises a break in the slip body and at least a portion of the composite slip in gripping engagement with a surrounding tubular. 19. The downhole tool of claim 14, wherein two or more of the at least two slip grooves in the slip body are equidistantly spaced from each other. 20. The downhole tool of claim 14, wherein the slip body comprises a first inner surface having a first angle with respect to an axis, and a second inner surface having a second angle with respect to the axis. 21. The downhole tool of claim 20, wherein the first angle is about 20 degrees, and wherein the second angle is about 40 degrees. 22. The downhole tool of claim 14, wherein the slip body comprises a plurality of inserts disposed therein, wherein at least one of the plurality of inserts comprises a flat surface, and wherein the slip body is made from filament wound material. 23. A downhole tool useable for isolating sections of a wellbore, the downhole tool comprising: a mandrel comprising composite material;a slip made of filament wound material and disposed on the mandrel, the slip further comprising a slip body having one-piece configuration, and two slip grooves disposed therein; anda composite member disposed about the mandrel, wherein the composite member is made of a first material and comprises a first portion and a second portion, and wherein the first portion comprises at least one groove, and wherein a second material is bonded to the first portion and at least partially fills into the at least one groove. 24. The downhole tool of claim 23, wherein the slip body comprises at least three slip grooves, and wherein the slip grooves are equidistantly spaced from each other. 25. The downhole tool of claim 24, wherein at least one slip groove is disposed proximate to a slip end and adjacent another slip groove disposed proximate to an opposite slip end. 26. The downhole tool of claim 24, wherein the slip body comprises a first inner surface having a first angle of about 20 degrees, and a second inner surface having a second angle of about 40 degrees.
