A three wheeled scooter comprises a chassis having forward and aft ends with a front wheel non-pivotally mounted to the forward end and a pair of rear wheels coaxially mounted to the aft end. The chassis defines a longitudinal axis and includes a support assembly and a handle assembly extending upwardly from the support assembly. The rear wheels are configured to be angularly yawable relative to the longitudinal axis between a neutral position and a yawed position. Steering of the scooter is thereby effectuated by angular yawing of the rear wheels relative to the longitudinal axis such as by asymmetric loading of one of opposing sides of the support assembly.

The method of claim 2 wherein the yawing step further comprises the step of: pivoting the axle about a pivot axis which is skewed with respect to the rotational axis of the support. 5. The method of claim 2 further comprising the step of providing a smaller contact patch between the front wheel and the ground compared to the collective contact patch between the rear wheels and the ground. 6. The method of claim 1 wherein the rolling the support to the right side further comprises the step of: yawing an axle having left and right wheels which are disposed at a rear of the support to the left for providing rear steering to the scooter. 7. The method of claim 6 wherein the left wheel is pivoted rearward and the right wheel is pivoted forward. 8. The method of claim 1 wherein the left and right foot are disposed at opposed sides of the non pivotable front wheel. 9. A three wheeled scooter for a rider standing in an upright position, the scooter comprising: a support for supporting the rider and rotatable about a longitudinal axis;a front wheel which has a rotational axis defined by rotation of the front wheel on the ground, the rotational axis of the front wheel being fixed with respect to the longitudinal axis of the support as the support rotates about the longitudinal axis, the rotational axis of the front wheel being disposed at an elevation higher than the support;a handle bar disposed over the front wheel;a pair of rear wheels disposed at an aft portion of the support, the pair of rear wheels being yawable relative to the longitudinal axis between a neutral position and a yawed position, the rear wheels defining a rear wheel rotational axis which is disposed at an elevation lower than the support;wherein steering of the scooter is effectuated by angular yawing of the rear wheels relative to the longitudinal axis. 10. The scooter of claim 9 wherein a diameter of the front wheel is six to ten times larger than a diameter of the rear wheels. 11. The scooter of claim 9 further comprising a fender disposed over an aft portion of the front wheel. 12. The scooter of claim 9 wherein the front wheel is disposed within the a slot formed in a forward portion of the support. 13. The scooter of claim 9 wherein the rear wheels are rotatably mounted to a rear axle, the rear axle pivotable about a pivot axis which is skewed with respect to the longitudinal axis of the support for yawing the rear wheels and steering the scooter to the left when the support is rolled to the left and steering the scooter to the right when the support is rolled to the right. 14. The scooter of claim 13 wherein the pivot axis of the axle is oriented downwardly along a direction from the aft portion to the forward portion of the support. 15. The scooter of claim 13 wherein the pivot axis intersects the longitudinal axis and is inclined relative to the longitudinal axis.
