A vascular remodeling device has a plurality of sections, sized for deployment in a blood vessel, that is radially expandable from a collapsed state to an expanded state. Each section has a plurality of interconnected struts that define a waist, a proximal face, and a distal face. Each face comprises (i) a plurality of distal strut portions extending proximally from a distal side of the face, (ii) a plurality of proximal strut portions extending distally from a proximal side of the face, and (iii) a plurality of sub-struts, wherein, from each proximal strut portion, two of the sub-struts each extend to a different one of the distal strut portions.

1. A vascular device, comprising: a proximal section having a longitudinal axis and being radially expandable from a collapsed state to an expanded state, the proximal section having a first waist comprising a radially largest region of the proximal section when in the expanded state;an intermediate section coupled to a distal end of the proximal section;a distal section coupled to a distal end of the intermediate section, the distal section being radially expandable from a collapsed state to an expanded state, the distal section comprising a second waist, the second waist comprising a radially largest region of the distal section when the distal section is in its expanded state;said distal section terminating distally in a distal end portion;wherein the distal section comprises: (i) a plurality of first proximal strut portions,(ii) a plurality of first distal strut portions extending proximally from the second waist, and(iii) a plurality of first sub-struts having first and second ends, wherein every one of the first proximal strut portions, extending distally from the intermediate section, divides into the first ends of two of said plurality of first sub-struts, with the second ends of those two of said plurality of first sub-struts extending and connecting, respectively, to two different first distal strut portions,(iv) a plurality of second distal strut portions extending proximally from the distal end portion of the distal section,(v) a plurality of second proximal strut portions,(vi) a plurality of second sub-struts having first and second ends, wherein every one of the second proximal strut portion connects to a respective one of the first distal strut portions at the second waist and extends distally from the second waist, divides into the first ends of two of said plurality of second sub-struts, with the second ends of those two of said plurality of second sub-struts extending and connecting, respectively, to two different second distal strut portions. 2. The vascular device of claim 1, wherein the first proximal strut portions are equal in number to the first distal strut portions. 3. The vascular device of claim 1, wherein there are twice as many first sub-struts of the device as first distal strut portions of the device. 4. The vascular device of claim 1, wherein the second proximal strut portions are equal in number to the second distal strut portions. 5. The vascular device of claim 1, wherein there are twice as many second sub-struts of the device as second distal strut portions of the device. 6. The vascular device of claim 1, wherein each of the first sub-struts extends between a first proximal strut portion and a first distal strut portion that are angularly offset with respect to each other. 7. The vascular device of claim 1, wherein each of the second sub-struts extends between a second proximal strut portion and a second distal strut portion that are angularly offset with respect to each other. 8. The vascular device of claim 1, wherein the second distal strut portions and the second sub-struts are configured to face an aneurysm adjacent a junction of two or more blood vessels when the second waist engages a wall of the junction and the distal section is in its expanded state. 9. The vascular device of claim 1, wherein the second distal strut portions and the second sub-struts are configured to perform a therapeutic blocking function at an aneurysm, the function comprising at least one of (a) supporting maintenance of a therapeutically effective amount and/or density of at least one filling material and/or device in the aneurysm, (b) promoting thrombogenesis, and (c) diverting flow from the aneurysm. 10. The vascular device of claim 1, wherein, while the distal section is in its expanded state, the first distal strut portions and the second proximal strut portions are curved and connect to the second waist to form a curving radial crest at the second waist. 11. The vascular device of claim 1, wherein the first proximal strut portions, the first sub-struts, and the first distal strut portions form a monolithic structure. 12. The vascular device of claim 1, wherein the second proximal strut portions, the second sub-struts, and the second distal strut portions form a monolithic structure.
