The motor output shaft drives a first jackshaft driven at a higher speed than the motor RPM. A CVT pulley assembly comprising first and second CVT pulleys and a CVT belt entrained between them has a first CVT pulley driven by the first jackshaft. A second jackshaft splined to the second CVT pulley drives the gearbox driveshaft at a speed lower than said second jackshaft to operate the rotor means at a proper speed and torque.
