The collapsible food container of claim 1, wherein the first portion forms a maximum of the upward convex curvature portion and the second portion forms a minimum of the downward convex curvature portion. 3. The collapsible food container of claim 1, wherein the wall portion in the first position has a dome-like shape or a pyramidal shape. 4. The collapsible food container of claim 1, wherein the wall portion is made of a material that allows contents of the interior cavity to be seen through the wall portion. 5. The collapsible food container of claim 1, wherein the bottom of the food container extends in a plane, the outer surface of the wall portion passing through the plane when the wall portion is in the second position. 6. A collapsible food container comprising: a base portion configured to stand upon a support surface and defining a bottom of the collapsible food container; anda wall portion being molded integral with the base portion at a lower end of the wall portion and extending upward from the base portion to terminate in an open upper end having a diameter being greater than a diameter of the lower end of the wall portion, the wall portion surrounding an interior cavity of the collapsible food container configured to receive food;the wall portion having a first portion with a first thickness and a second portion with a second thickness that is greater than the first thickness, the first portion being flexible and made of the same material as the base portion and configured to bend from a first position in which the wall portion has a first height, to a second position in which the wall portion has a second height that is less than the first height;the first portion in the first position having an inner surface and an outer surface, the inner surface facing towards the interior cavity and the outer surface facing opposite the interior cavity and having a downward convex curvature when the first portion is in the first position;the first portion in the second position being bent from the first position such that the outer surface extends upward and then downward from the base portion to form an upward convex curvature portion;the first portion, in the second position, not having a groove in the outer surface that forms the upward convex curvature portion;the first portion, in the first position, not having a groove in the outer surface that formed the upward convex curvature portion in the second position;whereby when the first portion is in the first position the collapsible food container is configured to retain food, and when the first portion is in the second position the collapsible food container is collapsed for storage of the collapsible food container. 7. The collapsible food container of claim 6, further comprising a lid configured to be placed over the wall portion to form an air-tight seal of the interior cavity. 8. The collapsible food container of claim 6, wherein the base portion and the wall portion are each made of silicone. 9. The collapsible food container of claim 6, wherein the first portion is configured to bend from the second position to the first position. 10. The collapsible food container of claim 9, further comprising: a rim positioned above the upper open end of the wall portion; anda lid configured to mate with the rim to form an air-tight seal with the rim that prevents the first portion from bending from the second position to the first position. 11. The collapsible food container of claim 9, wherein the base portion includes a stand configured to contact the support surface at a contact surface of the stand, the contact surface defining a plane, all parts of the wall portion being above the plane when the first portion is in the second position. 12. The collapsible food container of claim 10, wherein the open upper end of the wall portion is molded integral with a rim support. 13. The collapsible food container of claim 12, wherein the rim is molded separate from the rim support and is bonded to the rim support with an adhesive. 14. A method of forming a collapsible food container comprising: providing a mold;filling the mold with silicone to form the collapsible food container including: a base portion configured to stand upon a support surface and defining a bottom of the collapsible food container; anda wall portion joined to the base portion at a lower end of the wall portion and extending upward from the base portion to terminate in an open upper end having a diameter being greater than a diameter of the lower end of the wall portion, the wall portion surrounding an interior cavity of the collapsible food container configured to receive food;the wall portion having a first portion with a first thickness and a second portion with a second thickness that is greater than the first thickness, the first portion being flexible and configured to bend from a first position in which the wall portion has a first height, to a second position in which the wall portion has a second height that is less than the first height;the first portion in the first position having an inner surface and an outer surface, the inner surface facing towards the interior cavity and the outer surface facing opposite the interior cavity and having a downward convex curvature when the first portion is in the first position;the first portion in the second position being bent from the first position such that the outer surface extends upward and then downward from the base portion to form an upward convex curvature portion;the first portion, in the second position, not having a groove in the outer surface that forms the upward convex curvature portion;the first portion, in the first position, not having a groove in the outer surface that formed the upward convex curvature portion in the second position;whereby when the first portion is in the first position the collapsible food container is configured to retain food, and when the first portion is in the second position the collapsible food container is collapsed for storage of the collapsible food container; andremoving the collapsible food container from the mold. 15.
