The clamping device of claim 1, wherein the locking component further comprises a post component cooperating with the first and second clamping systems, and wherein the first and second tightening components are nuts threadable on the post component and disposed so as to be grippable for tightening. 3. The clamping device of claim 2, wherein the post component extends through the first, second, third, and fourth jaws. 4. The clamping device of claim 2, wherein one of the first and second jaws of the first clamping system comprises a concave recess formed in an outer surface, the clamping device further comprising a spherical washer disposed between the first tightening component and the first clamping system, the spherical washer being disposed within the concave recess, the first clamping system being pivotable about the spherical washer. 5. The clamping device of claim 2, wherein the post includes a non-circular cross-section that limits rotation of the first clamping system about the post. 6. The clamping device of claim 1, wherein the first and second tightening components respectively comprise first and second threaded nuts disposed so as to be grippable for tightening. 7. The clamping device of claim 6, comprising: a first spherical washer disposed between the first nut and said at least one of the first and second jaws; anda second spherical washer disposed the second nut and said at least one of the third and fourth jaws. 8. The clamping device of claim 1, further comprising: a first base component having a cylindrical concave surface, the concave surface of the first base component interfacing with the one of the first and second jaws, the first and second jaws being pivotable relative to the base component,wherein the locking component is configured in a manner that an action of locking only one of the first tightening component and the second locking component locks the first and second jaws against pivoting relative to the base component. 9. The clamping device of claim 1, wherein the first and second clamping systems are coupled in a manner providing relative rotation about a central axis, wherein the locking component is configured in a manner that an action of locking the locking component locks the first and second clamping systems against relative rotation. 10. The clamping device of claim 1, wherein the first and second clamping systems are arranged to clamp fixation elements comprising at least one of a bone pin and a fixation rod. 11. A clamping device for clamping fixation elements of an external fixation system, comprising: a post component having a yaw axis;a first clamping system secured to the post component and rotatable about the yaw axis;a second clamping system secured to the post component and rotatable about the yaw axis relative to the first clamping system;a first tightening component configured in a manner that an action of tightening the first tightening component simultaneously locks both the first and second clamping systems in a clamped condition and locks their relative rotation about the yaw axis; anda second tightening component configured in a manner that an action of tightening the second tightening component independently of the first tightening component simultaneously locks both the first and second clamping systems in a clamped condition and locks their relative rotation about the yaw axis. 12. The clamping device of claim 11, wherein the first and second tightening components respectively comprise first and second threaded nuts disposed so as to be grippable for tightening. 13. The clamping device of claim 11, wherein the first clamping system comprises: a first outer jaw;a first inner jaw having an inner surface facing the outer jaw, the outer and inner jaws together forming an opening for receiving a first fixation element of the external fixation system, the first inner jaw and first outer jaw having a roll axis alignable with a longitudinal axis of the fixation element, the clamping system and post component being rotatable about the roll axis, the first inner jaw also having a cylindrical outer-facing surface; anda first base component having a cylindrical concave surface having a pitch axis, the concave surface of the first base component interfacing with the cylindrical outer facing component on the inner jaw, the first outer and inner jaws being rotatable relative to the base and to the post component about the pitch axis. 14. The clamping device of claim 13, wherein the second clamping system comprises splines that selectively interdigitate with splines of the first base component. 15. The clamping device of claim 11, wherein the post component extends through the first and second clamping systems. 16. The clamping device of claim 11, wherein the first clamping system comprises: a first outer jaw; anda first base component having a cylindrical concave surface, the concave surface of the first base component interfacing with the one of the first and second jaws, the first and second jaws being pivotable relative to the base component,wherein the post component and the first tightening component are configured in a manner that an action of tightening the first tightening component locks the first and second jaws against pivoting relative to the base component, andwherein the post component and the second tightening component are configured in a manner that an action of tightening the second tightening component locks the first and second jaws against pivoting relative to the base component. 17. A clamping device for clamping fixation elements of an external fixation system, comprising: a post component having a yaw axis,a first clamping system secured to the post component and rotatable about the yaw axis;a second clamping system secured to the post component and rotatable about the yaw axis relative to the first clamping system;a first tightening component configured in a manner that an action of tightening the first tightening component simultaneously locks both the first and second clamping systems in a clamped condition and locks their relative rotation about the yaw axis; anda second tightening component configured in a manner that an action of tightening the second tightening component independently of the first tightening component simultaneously locks both the first and second clamping systems in a clamped condition and locks their relative rotation about the yaw axis,wherein the first and second tightening components respectively comprise first and second threaded nuts disposed so as to be grippable for tightening. 18. The clamping device of claim 17, wherein the first and second threaded nuts are threadable on the post component.
