The cartridge of claim 3, wherein the first and second thrust bearings are composed of a sintered material. 5. The cartridge of claim 3, wherein each of the first and second thrust bearings include one or more radially extending grooves on a face of each of the first and second thrust bearings. 6. The cartridge of claim 5, wherein the one or more radially extending grooves include two radially extending grooves located 180 degrees apart. 7. The cartridge of claim 1, wherein a thickness of the first thrust bearing is between approximately one fourth and one half of a thickness of the collar. 8. The cartridge of claim 1, wherein the outer gap is between about 0.2 and 1.0 mm. 9. The cartridge of claim 1, further including a second end that is symmetrical to the first end. 10.
