The movement of the piston to the open position at least partially opens the at least one secondary orifice and the movement of the piston to the closed position at least partially closes the at least one secondary orifice. A product dispensing system for dispensing a first ingredient and a second ingredient comprising: a flow control device, the flow control device for regulating the dispensing of the first ingredient by the product dispensing system, the flow control device comprising: a solenoid, the solenoid comprising an armature;a piston connected to the armature, the piston comprising a primary orifice, whereby the piston having an open position and a closed position;a piston spring connected to the piston;at least one secondary orifice wherein movement of the piston to the open position at least partially opens the at least one secondary orifice and wherein movement of the piston to the closed position at least partially closes the at least one secondary orifice; anda flow sensor located downstream from the second orifice;a binary valve comprising: a plunger;a spring for biasing the plunger in an open position; anda diaphragm actuated by the plunger,wherein the piston actuates the plunger to move the plunger to a closed position; anda pump module configured to be coupled to a supply of a second ingredient, wherein movement of the armature actuates the piston movement and controls fluid flow from the primary orifice through the at least one secondary orifice, andwherein the flow sensor configured to provide a feedback signal based upon a volume of the first ingredient flowing within the flow control device. 2. The flow control device of claim 5 further comprising an anemometer in thermal communication with the fluid flow. 8. The flow control device of claim 5 wherein the flow sensor further comprising a paddle wheel sensor for sensing fluid flow. 9. The flow control device of claim 8 wherein the paddle wheel sensor comprising: a paddle wheel;an infrared emitter for emitting an infrared beam; andan infrared receiver for receiving the emitted infrared beam,wherein the infrared emitter and the infrared receiver are located on opposite sides of the paddle wheel and wherein the fluid flow rotates the paddle wheel and the paddle wheel interrupts the infrared beam.
