A method and apparatus for performing coronary perfusion and cardiac reoxygenation that enables accurate control of oxygen levels in blood used for the coronary circulation. Deoxygenated blood and oxygenated blood are collected and oxygen levels are measured by sensors. The deoxygenated and oxygenated blood is then mixed and the mixed blood is measured by another sensor. The sensors provide data used to provide real-time oxygen level measurement and adjustment for blood supplied for coronary circulation.

A coronary perfusion device comprising: a venous drainage pathway;a systemic perfusion pathway;a cardioplegia delivery pathway;an oxygenator having an input connected with the venous drainage pathway, one or more outputs connected with the systemic perfusion pathway, and one or more outputs connected with an oxygenation controller, wherein said oxygenation controller is configured to mix blood from the venous drainage pathway and oxygenator to create a mixed blood supply and to deliver the mixed blood to the cardioplegia delivery pathway. 2. The coronary perfusion device of claim 1 wherein at least one of said at least one or more outputs contains a second blood mixture having a different oxygen partial pressure than the blood mixture. 3. The coronary perfusion device of claim 1 further comprising a cardioplegia catheter configured to deliver the mixed blood supply. 4. The coronary perfusion device of claim 1 wherein the oxygenation controller is a microprocessor. 5. The coronary perfusion device of claim 4 further comprising a pump configured to be controlled by the microprocessor. 6. The coronary perfusion device of claim 5 wherein the pump is configured to mix blood from the venous drainage pathway and oxygenator to create a mixed blood supply. 7. The coronary perfusion device of claim 1 further comprising an integrated cardioplegia delivery apparatus comprising the oxygenator. 8. The coronary perfusion device of claim 1 wherein the venous drainage pathway includes a reservoir. 9. An oxygen controller for creating a mixed blood from multiple blood inputs comprising: a first pump having an input to receive a first blood and an output, the first blood having a first oxygenation level;a second pump having an input to receive a second blood and an output, the second blood having a second oxygenation level greater than the first oxygenation level; andmeans for combining the outputs of the first and second pumps, whereby the first and second blood when pumped through their respective pumps into the means for combining the outputs of the first and second pumps creates a mixed blood having an oxygenation level equal to or greater than the first blood. 10. The oxygen controller of claim 9 wherein the means for combining the outputs from the first and second pumps has a discharge and the discharge has an oxygenation sensor whereby the oxygenation level of the mixed blood can be determined. 11. The oxygen controller of claim 10 further including a perfusion control having a microprocessor, the microprocessor in electrical connection to the sensor, first pump and second pump, the processor having a user interface to input a desired level of mixed blood oxygenation, and instructions stored on the microprocessor to regulate the flow through the first and second pumps to create the mixed blood. 12. The oxygen controller of claim 9 further including a catheter upstream of and in fluid communication with the input of the first pump. 13. The oxygen controller of claim 9 wherein the means for combining the outputs from the first and second pumps has a discharge and further including a cardioplegia solution injector downstream of and in fluid communication with the discharge. 14. The oxygen controller of claim 13 further including a third pump positioned in the discharge between the means for combining the outputs from the first and second pumps and the cardioplegia solution injector. 15. The oxygen controller of claim 9 wherein the means for combining the outputs from the first and second pumps has a discharge and further including a third pump downstream of and in fluid communication with the discharge. 16. The oxygen controller of claim 10 further including a cardioplegia delivery pathway downstream of and in fluid communication with the discharge from the means for combining the outputs. 17. The oxygen controller of claim 13 further including a cardioplegia delivery pathway and wherein the cardioplegia solution injector has a discharge connected to the cardioplegia delivery pathway. 18. The oxygen controller of claim 9 wherein the means for combining from the first and second pumps is a reservoir. 19. The oxygen controller of claim 9 wherein the means for combining from the first and second pumps is a y-coupling. 20. The oxygen controller of claim 9 wherein the means for combining from the first and second pumps is y-tubing.
