The intermodal container of claim 1, further comprising: at least one tie down bar extending form the front shelf wall;at least one tie down bar extending from the rear shelf wall. 5. The intermodal container of claim 1, further comprising: a shelf plate lip extending orthogonally form the shelf plate. 6.
