Disclosed is a portable device adapted to enable its user to manually adjust the focus and photometry locations during photography and a method for taking images with the device. A GUI for indicating the focus or photometry location is provided on the screen so that the user can manually move the GUI on the screen with a keypad or a touch panel. In this manner, a desired object is taken at the focus or photometry location.

1. An electronic device comprising: an imaging device configured to convert light into image data;an image processing unit electrically coupled with the imaging device, wherein the image processing unit is configured to process the image data received from the imaging device;a control unit electrically coupled with the image processing unit;a display unit electrically coupled with the control unit; anda touch panel electrically coupled with the control unit, wherein the control unit is configured to display an image via the display unit while the imaging device has a first exposure, based on the image data processed by the image processing unit, wherein the control unit is further configured to display a graphical user interface (GUI) at a first location on the image displayed via the display unit, in response to a touch being sensed at or near the first location by the touch panel, wherein the control unit is further configured to adjust the image to be focused at the first location in response to the touch, wherein the control unit is further configured to measure luminosity, based at least partly on the first location, wherein the control unit is further configured to control the imaging device to determine a second exposure, which is different from the first exposure, to produce another image, based at least partly on the measured luminosity, andwherein the control unit is further configured to display the another image via the display unit while the image device has the second exposure. 2. The electronic device of claim 1, wherein the control unit is further configured to: adjust the another image using the second exposure in response to the touch, as the another image is being displayed. 3. The electronic device of claim 1, wherein the control unit is further configured to: display another GUI indication corresponding to a second location on the another image displayed via the display unit, in response to another touch being sensed at or near the other location. 4. The electronic device of claim 3, wherein the control unit is further configured to: adjust the another image to be focused at the second location in response to the other touch. 5. The electronic device of claim 3, wherein the control unit is further configured to: measure another luminosity based at least partly on the second location. 6. The electronic device of claim 5, wherein the control unit is further configured to: control the imaging device to have a third exposure different from the second exposure to produce yet another image, based at least partly on the other luminosity. 7. The electronic device of claim 6, wherein the control unit is further configured to: adjust the yet another image using the third exposure in response to the other touch as the yet another image is being displayed. 8. An electronic device comprising: a microphone;a display unit to present one or more images;a communication unit to couple the electronic device with a network;an imaging device to generate image data corresponding to an object external to the electronic device; andone or more processors operatively coupled with the microphone, the display unit, the communication unit and the imaging device, the one or more processors configured to: display, via the display unit, an image corresponding to the object based at least partly on the image data using a first focus;receive a touch at or near a location on the image displayed via the display unit, the receiving including determining a second focus on the image based at least partly on the location and a luminosity that is measured at the location;process the image data, as adjusted based at least partly on the second focus and the measured luminosity, to produce another image; anddisplay, via the display unit, the another image and a graphical user interface (GUI) corresponding to the location. 9. The electronic device of claim 8, wherein the one or more processors are further configured to: generate, in response to an input, at least one of a photograph or a video based at least partly on the another image data. 10. The electronic device of claim 8, wherein the one or more processors comprise at least one of a control unit or an image processing unit. 11. The electronic device of claim 8, wherein the display unit comprises at least one image buffer configured to receive the one or more images. 12. The electronic device of claim 8, wherein the receiving of the touch further includes: determining an exposure on the another image based at least partly on the location. 13. The electronic device of claim 8, wherein the one or more processors are further configured to: receive another touch at or near another location on the image displayed via the display unit, the receiving of the other touch including determining a third focus on the image based at least partly on the another location. 14. The electronic device of claim 13, wherein the one or more processors are further configured to: process the image data, as adjusted based at least partly on the third focus, to produce yet another image; anddisplay, via the display unit, the yet another image adjusted using the third focus and another GUI corresponding to the another location. 15. An electronic device comprising: a microphone;a display unit configured to present one or more images;a communication unit configured to couple the electronic device with a network;an imaging device configured to generate image data corresponding to an object external to the electronic device; andone or more processors operatively coupled with the microphone, the display unit, the communication unit and the imaging device, the one or more processors configured to: display, via the display unit, an image corresponding to the object based at least partly on the image data using a first focus and a first exposure;receive a touch at or near a location on the image displayed via the display unit, the receiving including determining a second focus and a second exposure on the image based at least partly on the location and a luminosity that is measured at the location;process the image data, as adjusted based at least partly on the second focus and second exposure, which is based on the measured luminosity, to produce another image; anddisplay, via the display unit, the another image and a graphical user interface (GUI) corresponding to the location. 16. The electronic device of claim 15 wherein the one or more processors are further configured to: generate, in response to an input, at least one of a photograph or a video based at least partly on the another image data. 17. The electronic device of claim 15, wherein the one or more processors comprise at least one of a control unit or an image processing unit. 18. The electronic device of claim 15, wherein the display unit comprises at least one image buffer to receive the one or more images. 19. The electronic device of claim 15, wherein the one or more processors are further configured to: receive another touch at or near another location on the image displayed via the display unit, the receiving of the other touch including determining a third focus and a third exposure on the another image based at least partly on the other location. 20. The electronic device of claim 19, wherein the one or more processors are further configured to: process the image data, as adjusted based at least partly on the third focus and the third exposure, to produce another image; anddisplay, via the display unit, another GUI corresponding to the location, and the image adjusted using the third focus and the third exposure.
