The described invention provides a gel formulation of a composition comprising at least one insecticide in an amount effective to control an insect larval population, an apparatus for autodissmenination of an insecticide for insect management containing (1) a cap component, (2) a cup component, and (3) a mesh component, a method and a system for autodissemination for effectively controlling an insect larval population. Also disclosed is an improvided biphasic autodissemination station for control of undesirable insect populations.

1. A biphasic autodissemination station (ADS) to topically contaminate an insect, the station providing a unidirectional path for insects and comprising: (i) a reservoir component, said reservoir component comprising a plurality of overflow protection holes and optionally comprising an attractant;(ii) a cover plate, effective to both shelter formulations from weather and collect rain to refill the reservoir component;(iii) a mesh component to prevent insects from entering said reservoir component;(iv) a transfer chamber having a unidirectional cone inserted therein;(v) a vertical or horizontal coatable band disposed within said transfer chamber, said vertical or horizontal coatable band comprising an oil formulation and being contiguous with(vi) an upper horizontal flat ring surface, said flat ring surface comprising a powder formulation, said powder formulation comprising an active ingredient, wherein a slight ridge is present between said vertical or horizontal coatable band and said flat ring surface which prevents mixing of said oil and powder formulations, wherein said insects must first traverse said oil formulation, followed by traversal of said powder formulation in order to exit said station; said station attracting insects, contaminating said insects with said oil and powder formulations, said contamination being effective to disrupt the life cycle of said insects. 2. The station according to claim 1, which is assembled using biodegradable materials. 3. The station according to claim 1 wherein at least one of the cover plate and the reservoir component further comprise a water-proofing agent. 4. The station as claimed in claim 1, wherein unidirectional passage through said station results in enhanced active ingredient load onto said insect or wherein passage of said insect sequentially through said oil formulation followed by said powder formulation results in enhanced active ingredient persistence on said insect. 5. The station according to claim 1, wherein the reservoir component comprises an insect attractant. 6. The station according to claim 1 wherein one or both of said powder and oil formations further comprise an insecticide. 7. The station of claim 1, wherein said cover plate is positioned proximally to at least one of said vertical or horizontal coatable band and said upper horizontal flat ring surface, forming a gap between said cover plate and at least one of said vertical or horizontal coatable band and said upper horizontal flat ring surface, said gap being passable by walking but not flying insects, thereby forcing said insects to exit from said station by walking. 8. The station of claim 7, further comprising; (viii) at least one spacer, said at least one spacer being positioned to maintain said gap which prevents insects from flying out of said station and forces exiting insects to walk through said oil and powder formulations thereby ensuring maximum contamination of said insects with said formulations; said spacer also being effective to minimize a number of insects trapped within said station. 9. The station of claim 7, wherein said gap is between 5 mm and 7 mm. 10. A method for autodisseminating an insect population controlling active ingredient for control of insect populations comprising dispersing one or more biphasic autodissemination stations in an area where control of insect populations is desirable, said one or more stations providing a unidirectional path for insects and comprising: (i) a reservoir component, said reservoir component comprising a plurality of overflow protection holes and optionally comprising an attractant;(ii) a cover plate, effective to both shelter formulations from weather and collect rain to refill the reservoir component;(iii) a mesh component to prevent insects from entering said reservoir component;(iv) a transfer chamber having a unidirectional cone inserted therein;(v) a vertical or horizontal coatable band disposed within said transfer chamber, said vertical or horizontal coatable band comprising an oil formulation and being contiguous with(vi) an upper horizontal flat ring surface, said flat ring surface comprising a powder formulation, said powder formulation comprising an active ingredient wherein a slight ridge is present between said vertical or horizontal coatable band and said flat ring surface which prevents mixing of said oil and powder formulations, said one or more stations attracting insects, wherein following entry into said one or more stations, said insects must first traverse said oil formulation, followed by traversal of said powder formulation in order to exit said one or more stations thereby contaminating said insects with said oil and powder formulations, said contamination being effective to disrupt the life cycle of said insects.
