A closure mechanism for a reclosable bag comprising: an elongated groove profile having two arms which form a general U-shape to define an opening to a channel; andan elongated rib profile opposing the groove profile, wherein a plurality of first segments of the rib profile alternate with a plurality of second segments of the rib profile to create a structural discontinuity along a length thereof,wherein the groove profile and the rib profile form a first zipper such that when engaging the groove and rib profiles to close the zipper, an audible clicking sound of at least 50 dB on average is created, andwherein the second segments have a smaller cross-section when viewed perpendicular to the length of the rib profile than the first segments and the second segments are longer than the first segments to create a lower frequency audible clicking sound along an entire length that the profiles are engaged. 2. A closure mechanism as recited in claim 1, wherein the rib profile defines a stem extending from a base and terminating in a head, the stem being substantially unchanged between the first and second segments and the head being relatively larger in the first segments. 3. A closure mechanism as recited in claim 2, wherein a ratio of a thickness of the head to a thickness of the stem of the rib profile is about 2:1 in the first segments. 4. A closure mechanism as recited in claim 1, wherein the audible clicking sound is between 54 and 61 dB. 5. A closure mechanism as recited in claim 1, wherein the audible clicking sound has an average of about 57 dB. 6. A closure mechanism as recited in claim 1, wherein the rib profile includes a head to provide resistance to interlocking within the channel, the thickness of the head in the first segments being in a range of 0.02989 inches {0.75921 mm} plus and minus one standard deviation of 0.00218 inches {0.0553720 mm} and the thickness of the head in the second segments is less than or equal to 0.0245 inches {0.62230 mm}. 7. A closure mechanism as recited in claim 6, wherein the opening is about 0.010 of an inch {0.2540 mm} when the rib and groove profiles are separated. 8. A closure mechanism as recited in claim 1, further comprising a second zipper inwardly spaced apart from the first zipper on the reclosable bag, wherein the second zipper includes an elongated groove profile having two arms and an elongated rib profile opposing the groove profile. 9. A closure mechanism as recited in claim 8, wherein the second zipper has elongated groove and rib profiles substantially the same as the groove and rib profiles of the first zipper. 10. A zipper for a reclosable bag that generates audible sound therealong when interlocked, the zipper comprising: an elongated groove profile having two arms defining an opening; andan elongated rib profile opposing the groove profile, wherein a plurality of first segments of the rib profile alternate with a plurality of second segments of the rib profile to create a structural discontinuity along a length thereof, wherein during closing the zipper by inserting the rib profile in the opening, an audible clicking sound of at least 50 dB on average is created along an entirety of a length of the profiles,wherein the second segments have a smaller cross-section when viewed perpendicular to the length of the rib profile than the first segments and the second segments are longer than the first segments. 11. A zipper as recited in claim 10, wherein the elongated groove profile has two arms which form a general U-shape to define an opening to a channel and the rib profile includes a stem extending from a base and terminating in a head for providing resistance to interlocking within the channel. 12. A zipper as recited in claim 11, wherein a ratio of a thickness of the head to a thickness of the stem of the rib profile is about 2:1 in a plurality of segments. 13. A zipper as recited in claim 10, the thickness of a head in the first segments being about 0.0299 of an inch {0.75946 mm} with a standard deviation of about 0.0022 of an inch {0.0.5588 mm}, the thickness of a head in the second segments is less than or equal to 0.0245 of an inch {0.62230 mm}, and the opening is about 0.010 of an inch {0.2540 mm}. 14. A zipper as recited in claim 10, wherein the audible clicking sound is between 54 and 61 dB and has an average of about 57 dB. 15. A reclosable pouch defining an interior, comprising: a) a first wall;b) a second wall opposing and partially sealed to the first wall to form a mouth for access to the interior; andc) a closure mechanism for selectively sealing the opening, the closure mechanism including: i) an elongated groove profile having two arms which form a general U-shape to define an opening to a channel; andii) an elongated rib profile opposing the groove profile, wherein a plurality of first segments of the rib profile alternate with a plurality of second segments of the rib profile to create a structural discontinuity along a length thereof such that interlocking the groove and rib profiles creates an audible clicking sound along the entire length of at least 50 dB on average during closing, wherein the second segments have a smaller cross-section when viewed perpendicular to the length of the rib profile than the first segments and the second segments are longer than the first segments; andiii) a second zipper inwardly spaced apart from the profiles on the reclosable bag. 16. A reclosable pouch as recited in claim 15, wherein the rib profile defines a stem extending from a base and terminating in a head, the stem being substantially unchanged between the first and second segments, the head is relatively larger in the first segments, and a ratio of a thickness of the head to a thickness of the stem of the rib profile is about 2:1 in the first segments. 17. A reclosable pouch as recited in claim 15, wherein the audible clicking sound is between 54 and 61 dB and has an average of about 57 dB. 18. A zipper as recited in claim 11, wherein the elongated groove profile defines an opening; the elongated rib profile has a stem terminating in a head; and a ratio of the head to the opening is approximately 3:1.
