The apparatus of claim 2, wherein each of the pair of adjacent lines has the same number of openings. 4. The apparatus of claim 3, further comprising a pair of relatively outer lines, wherein one of the pair of relatively outer lines is positioned on one side of the middle line and pair of adjacent lines and the other of the pair of relatively outer lines is positioned on the other side of the middle line and pair of adjacent lines, wherein each of the pair of relatively outer lines comprises one less opening than each of the pair of adjacent lines. 5. The apparatus of claim 2, wherein an end of the plurality of openings comprises a first pair of diagonal openings and a second pair of diagonal openings, the first and second pair of diagonal openings being a mirror image of each other relative to the middle line. 6. The apparatus of claim 5, wherein the end is defined by the pair of adjacent lines and the middle line. 7. The apparatus of claim 2, wherein each of the pair of adjacent lines extends past the middle line on at least one end of the plurality of openings. 8. The apparatus of claim 2, wherein an end of the plurality of openings comprises a first set of aligned openings and a second set of aligned openings positioned inwardly of and offset from the first set of aligned openings, wherein the first set of aligned openings comprises two openings and the second set of aligned openings comprises three openings. 9. The apparatus of claim 2, wherein at least one of the plurality of lines includes exactly seven openings. 10. The apparatus of claim 2, wherein the rigid body comprises an elongate surface in which the plurality of openings is provided, wherein the elongate surface comprises opposed rounded ends. 11. The apparatus of claim 2, wherein the rigid body comprises a flat surface portion through which the plurality of openings is provided. 12. An apparatus for supplying pressurized breathing gases from a gases supply to a user through inspiratory conduit to provide a positive airway pressure in the user's airways, the apparatus comprising: a body that defines a gases passageway through which breathing gases can flow, the body comprising a first end and a second end, the first end being wider than the second end, the second end defining a gas inlet to the gases passageway, the body further comprising an extension around a perimeter of the first end, the body further comprising a flat surface portion positioned along a centerline of the apparatus;a seal that creates a seal with the user's face, wherein the seal is coupled to the extension that surrounds the perimeter of the first end of the body;a conduit connector that connects the gas inlet of the body with the inspiratory conduit, the conduit connector extending to a swivelable connector to allow for movement of the inspiratory conduit; anda bias flow vent comprising a plurality of openings, wherein each of the plurality of openings is defined in the flat surface of the body;wherein the plurality of openings are arranged in a pattern, the pattern being symmetrical with respect to a centerline of the apparatus, and the pattern being narrower at a position closer to the conduit connector; andwherein the plurality of openings define a plurality of lines, each of which includes more than one opening, wherein the openings within adjacent lines are offset from one another. 17. The apparatus of claim 16, wherein the plurality of openings are arranged to have a line of three holes that is diagonal with respect to the centerline of the apparatus. 18.
