1. A scraper apparatus, comprising: a handle; anda scraper head attached to an end of said handle, wherein the scraper head comprises: a frame; anda wire rope bristle arrangement for abrading a surface, wherein the wire rope bristle arrangement comprises a plurality of wire rope bristles attached to the frame and wherein the wire rope bristles each comprises one or more strands, wherein each strand comprises two or more wires, wherein each wire rope bristle has an elongated stem extending from the frame generally perpendicular to the frame, each wire rope bristle having a loop end forming an abrader surface at an end of the stem. 2. The scraper apparatus of claim 1, wherein at least one strand from the one or more strands comprises at least seven wires. 3. The scraper apparatus of claim 1, wherein at least one strand from the one or more strands comprises at least nineteen wires. 4. The scraper apparatus of claim 1, wherein the one or more strands comprises at least two strands. 5. The scraper apparatus of claim 1, wherein the one or more strands and two or more wires of each bristle are tightly wound at the loop end so that the loop end forms a unitary abrading element. 6. The scraper apparatus of claim 1, wherein the loop end is configured such that: one or more strands are loosely wound at the loop end such that the one or more strands at the loop end are independently movable relative to one another; or two or more wires are loosely wound at the loop end such that the two or more wires at the loop end are independently movable relative to one another. 7. The scraper apparatus of claim 1, where the wire rope bristles extend in parallel to one another and perpendicular to a mounting surface from which they extend. 8. The scraper apparatus of claim 1, wherein the wire rope bristles are spayed at a plurality of angles with respect to a mounting surface from which they extend. 9. The scrape apparatus of claim 1, wherein the wire rope bristles are attached to a modular frame component removably mounted to the frame. 10. The scraper apparatus of claim 1, further comprising a scraper blade and a curved plow surface disposed at an end of the scraper head. 11. The scraper apparatus of claim 1, wherein at least two of the wire rope bristles have a different arrangement of the one or more strands from one another. 12. The scraper apparatus of claim 1, wherein the plurality of bristles comprises at least two groups of bristles, each group comprising a plurality of bristles, and the two groups of bristles have different properties adapted for different cleaning applications. 13. The scraper apparatus of claim 12, wherein the bristles of one of the groups have greater flexibility than the bristles of the other group. 14. The scraper apparatus of claim 13, wherein the scraper head has a front end and a rear end, and wherein the group of bristles having greater flexibility is disposed more proximate to the front end of the head than the other group. 15. The scraper apparatus of claim 12, wherein the bristles of the two groups have a different arrangement of the one or more strands from one another. 16. The scraper apparatus of claim 15, wherein the different arrangement comprises a different number of strands per bristle and/or a different number of wires per strand. 17. A handheld scraper for scraping a grill or oven comprising: a handle;a scraper head disposed at an end of the handle; anda plurality of wire rope bristles extending from one side of said scraper head for abrading a surface, wherein the wire rope bristles each comprise two or more strands, wherein each strand comprises two or more metal wires, wherein the strands of each wire rope bristle are wound or coiled with respect to one another to form an elongated bristle stem extending for a majority of the length of said wire rope bristle, wherein each wire rope bristle has an abrading loop end formed at an end of the elongated bristle stem for abrading the surface, wherein at the loop end of each bristle the two or more strands and two or more wires of each bristle are tightly wound so that the loop end forms a unitary loop abrading element. 18. A handheld scraper for scraping a grill or oven comprising: a handle;a scraper head disposed at an end of the handle; anda plurality of wire rope bristles extending from one side of said scraper head for abrading a surface, wherein the wire rope bristles each comprises one or more strands, wherein each strand comprises two or more metal wires, wherein each wire rope bristle has an elongated bristle stem extending for a majority of the length of said wire rope bristle, wherein each wire rope bristle has an abrading loop end formed at an end of the elongated bristle stem for abrading the surface, the abrading loop end comprising a plurality of loop end abraders independently movable relative to one another. 19. The handheld scraper of claim 18, wherein two or more wires of the one or more strands of each wire rope bristle are loosely wound at the abrading loop end to form the plurality of loop end abraders independently movable relative to one another. 20. The handheld scraper of claim 18, wherein each wire rope bristle comprises two or more strands, the two or more strands tightly wound or coiled together to form said elongated bristle stem, the two or more strands being loosely wound at the abrading loop end to form the plurality of loop end abraders independently movable relative to one another. 21. The handheld scraper of claim 18, further comprising a scraper blade and a curved plow surface disposed at an end of the scraper head.
