An insulated component assembly for use with a food storage system, the assembly comprising: an insulated component defining a volume for storing a food, the insulated component comprising an inner wall and an outer wall with an insulating layer disposed therebetween;a securing insert that engages with the insulated component, the securing insert configured to be received by the food storage system; andan insulated component lid that engages with the insulated component and allows access to the volume for storing the food in the insulated component,wherein the securing insert includes a plurality of inner threads that engage with the insulated component and a plurality of outer threads that engage with the insulated component lid. 2. The insulated component assembly of claim 1, the insulated component lid comprises a rotatable opening lever to facilitate engagement and disengagement of the insulated component to and from the insulated component lid. 4. The insulated component assembly of claim 3, wherein the rotatable open lever is configured to rotate 90 degrees. 5. The insulated component assembly of claim 1, wherein the insulating layer comprises at least one of air, Styrofoam, a plastic honeycomb, and a vacuum.
