A blank in accordance with claim 1, wherein the reinforcing panel assembly further comprises: the outer corner panel extending from the first side edge of the first end panel;the outer reinforcing side panel extending from a side edge of the outer corner panel;the inner reinforcing side panel extending from a side edge of the outer reinforcing side panel; andthe inner reinforcing corner panel extending from a side edge of the inner reinforcing side panel. 3. A blank in accordance with claim 1, wherein the reinforcing panel assembly further comprises an inner reinforcing end panel extending from a side edge of the inner reinforcing corner panel. 4. A blank in accordance with claim 3, further comprising a minor stacking extension extending from a top edge of the inner reinforcing end panel and configured upon articulation of the blank to align with a respective major stacking extension to form a stacking tab of the polygonal container. 5. A blank in accordance with claim 4, further comprising: a first top panel extending from a top edge of a first side panel of the two side panels; anda second top panel extending from a top edge of a second side panel of the two side panels, wherein at least one of the first and second top panels comprises at least one locking slot configured to receive the stacking tab therethrough. 6. A blank in accordance with claim 5, wherein the at least one of the first top panel and the second top panel further comprises a locking assembly for facilitating locking the corresponding top panel in a closed position, wherein the locking assembly includes the locking slot and a rotatable locking panel, the rotatable locking panel is configured to engage the stacking tab. 7. A blank in accordance with claim 1, further comprising at least one top panel extending from a top edge of one of the two side panels, wherein the at least one top panel includes at least one top panel angled edge configured such that upon articulation of the blank, the at least one top panel angled edge substantially aligns with a corresponding angled edge of the bottom panel. 8. A blank in accordance with claim 1 further comprising a plurality of reinforcing panel assemblies, wherein a respective reinforcing panel assembly of the plurality of reinforcing panel assemblies extends from each of opposing side edges of each end panel. 9. A blank in accordance with claim 1, wherein each side panel comprises two free side edges. 10. A polygonal container formed from a blank of sheet material, said container comprising: a bottom wall;two opposing side walls, each side wall emanating from a side edge of the bottom wall;two opposing end walls, each end wall emanating from an end edge of the bottom wall, at least one stacking tab extending from a top edge of at least one end wall of the two end walls; anda first corner reinforcing assembly emanating from a first side edge of a first end wall of the two end walls, the first corner reinforcing assembly comprising at least an outer corner panel, an outer reinforcing side panel, an inner reinforcing side panel, and an inner reinforcing corner panel, wherein the outer corner panel and inner reinforcing corner panel are disposed in juxtaposed face-to-face relation to one another to form a first corner wall of the polygonal container, such that a bottom edge of the outer corner panel is coincident with a bottom edge of the inner reinforcing corner panel. 11. A polygonal container in accordance with claim 10, wherein the first corner reinforcing assembly further comprises an inner reinforcing end panel emanating from a side edge of the inner reinforcing corner panel and forming at least a portion of the first end wall. 12. A polygonal container in accordance with claim 11, wherein the first end wall further comprises a first end panel of the blank, and the at least one stacking tab comprises a minor stacking extension emanating from a top edge of the inner reinforcing end panel and, in alignment with the minor stacking extension, a major stacking extension emanating from a top edge of the first end panel. 13. A polygonal container in accordance with claim 10, further comprising: a first top panel extending from a first side wall of the two side walls; anda second top panel extending from a second side wall of the two side walls, wherein at least one of the first and second top panels comprises a locking slot configured to receive the at least one stacking tab therethrough. 14. A polygonal container in accordance with claim 13, wherein the at least one of the first top panel and the second top panel further comprises a locking assembly for facilitating locking the corresponding top panel in a closed position, wherein the locking assembly includes the locking slot and a rotatable locking panel, the rotatable locking panel is configured to engage the stacking tab. 15. A polygonal container in accordance with claim 10, further comprising: a second corner reinforcing assembly emanating from a second side edge of the first end wall and forming a second corner wall of the polygonal container;a third corner reinforcing assembly emanating from a first side edge of a second end wall of the two end walls and forming a third corner wall of the polygonal container; anda fourth corner reinforcing assembly emanating from a second side edge of the second end wall and forming a fourth corner wall of the polygonal container. 16. A polygonal container in accordance with claim 10, further comprising at least one top panel extending from a top edge of one of the two side walls, wherein the at least one top panel includes at least one top panel angled edge that is substantially aligned with a corresponding angled edge of the bottom wall. 17. A polygonal container in accordance with claim 10, wherein the outer reinforcing side panel and the inner reinforcing side panel overlie one another in juxtaposed face-to-face relation to form at least a portion of a first of the two opposing side walls. 18. A method for forming a polygonal container from a blank of sheet material, the blank including a bottom panel, two opposing side panels each extending from a side edge of the bottom panel, two opposing end panels each extending from an end edge of the bottom panel, at least one major stacking extension extending from a top edge of each end panel, and a reinforcing panel assembly extending from a first side edge of a first end panel of the two end panels, the reinforcing panel assembly including at least an outer corner panel, an outer reinforcing side panel, an inner reinforcing side panel, and an inner reinforcing corner panel, wherein a free bottom edge of the outer corner panel is collinear with a free bottom edge of the inner reinforcing corner panel, the method comprising: rotating the inner reinforcing side panel toward an interior surface of the outer reinforcing side panel about a fold line connecting the inner reinforcing side panel and the outer reinforcing side panel, wherein said rotating aligns the outer corner panel and the inner reinforcing corner panel in a substantially face-to-face relationship;rotating the outer and inner reinforcing side panels toward an interior surface of the first end panel about a fold line connecting the inner reinforcing side panel and the inner reinforcing corner panel and about a fold line connecting the outer reinforcing side panel and the outer corner panel;rotating the outer corner panel and the inner reinforcing corner panel toward the interior surface of the first end panel about a fold line connecting the outer corner panel and the first end panel; androtating the first end panel inward into a substantially perpendicular relationship with the bottom panel about a fold line connecting the first end panel and the bottom panel, the first end panel at least partially forming a first end wall of the polygonal container and the outer corner panel and the inner reinforcing corner panel forming a first corner wall of the polygonal container. 19. A method in accordance with claim 18, wherein the reinforcing panel assembly further comprises an inner reinforcing end panel extending from a side edge of the inner reinforcing corner panel, the inner reinforcing end panel including a minor stacking extension extending from a top edge thereof, said rotating the inner reinforcing side panel toward the interior surface of the outer reinforcing side panel further comprises aligning the minor stacking extension and the major stacking extension in a substantially face-to-face relationship to form a stacking tab of the polygonal container. 20. A method in accordance with claim 19, wherein the blank further includes a first top panel extending from a top edge of a first side panel of the two side panels, the first top panel including a locking slot defined therein, said method further comprising: rotating the first top panel toward an interior surface of the first side panel about a fold line connecting the first top panel and the first side panel; andinserting the stacking tab through the locking slot, such that the stacking tab secures the first top panel in position within respect to the first side panel, the first top panel forming at least a portion of a top wall of the polygonal container. 21. A method in accordance with claim 20, wherein the first top panel includes at least one locking assembly, the at least one locking assembly including the locking slot and a rotatable locking panel, said method further comprising rotating the locking panel downwardly to a position substantially perpendicular to the first top panel. 22. A method in accordance with claim 18 further comprising: rotating a first side panel of the two side panels inwardly into a substantially perpendicular relationship with the bottom panel; andattaching an interior surface of the first side panel to an exterior surface of the inner reinforcing side panel, such that the first side panel and the outer and inner reinforcing side panels at least partially form a first side wall of the polygonal container. 23. A method in accordance with claim 18, further comprising attaching an interior surface of the outer corner panel to an interior surface of the inner reinforcing corner panel.
