The linear actuator defined in claim 1 wherein the extension tube includes an adapter having a bifurcated end having a thru-hole extending therethrough. 6. The linear actuator defined in claim 1 wherein an end of the output shaft is supported on the housing. 7. The linear actuator defined in claim 1 wherein an end of the output shaft is supported on a bushing that is supported on the housing.
