A cable can be configured to communicate a signal representative of sound from the electronic device to each earpiece. A microphone can be permanently attached or removably attachable to the cable to facilitate use with a cellular telephone. The cable assembly can facilitate hands free operation of a cellular telephone and can facilitate listening to a music device. Other implementations and related methods are also disclosed.

The earpiece as recited in claim 1, wherein the upper and lower ends of the arcuate rib are configured to define a flare of the earpiece, wherein the flare is configured to be captured by a bottom of a pinna of the ear proximate the back side of the concha bowl, an antitragus of the ear, and/or an outer portion of an ear canal of the ear, to help secure the earpiece within the ear. 3. The earpiece as recited in claim 1, comprising: a lower portion of the earpiece defined proximate the lower end of the arcuate rib, wherein the lower portion is configured to be captured by and/or beneath a tragus of the ear to help secure the earpiece within the ear. 4. The earpiece as recited in claim 1, wherein: the ear is a right ear or a left ear; andthe generally arcuate rib comprises a first shape configured to engage the left ear or a second shape, different from the first shape, configured to engage the right ear, to resist movement of the earpiece that would result in separation of the earpiece from the ear. 5. The earpiece as recited in claim 1, comprising: a lower portion of the earpiece defined proximate the lower end of the arcuate rib and configured to engage a protrusion configured to extend at least partially into an ear canal of the ear, wherein the generally arcuate rib comprises a shape configured to engage the ear to resist translational or rotational movement of the earpiece that would move the earpiece away from a desired position substantially within the concha bowl, and wherein the shape of the generally arcuate rib is configured to position the protrusion relative to the ear canal such that it extends ergonomically and at least partially through a first bend and/or a central portion of the ear canal. 6. The earpiece as recited in claim 1, comprising: a lower portion of the earpiece defined proximate the lower end of the arcuate rib and configured to engage a protrusion configured to extend at least partially into an ear canal of the ear, wherein the protrusion comprises an ergonomic shape conforming to a first bend and/or a central portion of the ear canal, and wherein the lower portion of the earpiece is configured to engage the protrusion so as to allow adjustment of a position and/or orientation of the protrusion relative to the earpiece to help conform the ergonomic shape to the ear canal. 7. The earpiece as recited in claim 1, comprising: a lower portion of the earpiece defined proximate the lower end of the arcuate rib and configured to engage a protrusion configured to extend at least partially into an ear canal of the ear, wherein the protrusion is configured to contact the ear proximate a crus of a helix of the ear and/or proximate a tragus of the ear to help secure the earpiece within the ear. 8. The earpiece as recited in claim 1, comprising: a lower portion of the earpiece defined proximate the lower end of the arcuate rib and configured to engage a protrusion configured to extend at least partially into an ear canal of the ear, wherein the protrusion is configured to be captured by a top, a bottom, a first bend, and/or a central portion of the ear canal to help secure the earpiece within the ear. 9. The earpiece as recited in claim 1, comprising: a lower portion of the earpiece defined proximate the lower end of the arcuate rib and configured to engage a protrusion configured to extend at least partially into an ear canal of the ear, wherein the protrusion is removable, comprises a bore formed therethrough, and is formed of a relatively rigid material as compared to the arcuate rib. 10. The earpiece as recited in claim 1, comprising: a lower portion of the earpiece defined proximate the lower end of the arcuate rib and configured to engage a protrusion configured to extend at least partially into an ear canal of the ear, wherein the protrusion comprises a speaker mounted to the protrusion and/or placed inside or partially inside the protrusion. 11. The earpiece as recited in claim 1, comprising: a lower portion of the earpiece defined proximate the lower end of the arcuate rib and configured to engage a protrusion configured to extend at least partially into an ear canal of the ear, wherein the protrusion is configured to substantially seal the ear from outside sound. 12. The earpiece as recited in claim 1, comprising: a generally vertical rib extending between the upper and lower ends of the arcuate rib to define a middle front portion and/or a lower portion of the earpiece, wherein the middle front portion is configured to be captured by and/or on top of and beneath a crus of a helix of the ear, and the lower portion is configured to be captured by and/or beneath a crus of a helix of the ear, to help secure the earpiece within the ear. 13. An earpiece engagement system comprising the earpiece as recited in claim 1, wherein the earpiece is configured to engage a protrusion configured to extend at least partially into an ear canal. 14. A method for using the earpiece as recited in claim 1, comprising: providing the earpiece;deforming the arcuate rib to insert the earpiece proximate to the concha bowl ridge, the concha bowl, and/or the cymba concha of the ear; andallowing the arcuate rib and the top lobe of the earpiece to be captured, at least in part, by the concha bowl ridge, the concha bowl, and/or the cymba concha of the ear to help secure the earpiece in place during use. 15. A method for inserting an earpiece into an ear, comprising: providing the earpiece comprising a generally arcuate rib having upper and lower ends configured to define a top rim of the earpiece proximate the upper end and a back side of the earpiece disposed substantially between the upper and lower ends, wherein the top rim of the earpiece is configured to be captured by a top part of a concha bowl ridge of an ear to help secure the earpiece within the ear, and wherein the back side of the earpiece is configured to be captured by a back side of a concha bowl to help secure the earpiece within the ear, and a lobe formed at the upper end of the arcuate rib and extending therefrom to define a front top portion of the earpiece, wherein the front top portion of the earpiece is configured to be captured by a forward end of a cymba concha of the ear to help secure the earpiece within the ear, and wherein a corresponding bottom lobe is omitted from the lower end of the arcuate rib;deforming the arcuate rib to insert the earpiece proximate to the concha bowl ridge, the concha bowl, and/or the cymba concha of the ear; andallowing the arcuate rib and the top lobe of the earpiece to be captured, at least in part, by the concha bowl ridge, the concha bowl, and/or the cymba concha of the ear to help secure the earpiece in place during use, wherein the omitted bottom lobe is configured to substantially reduce discomfort caused by movement or deformation of the earpiece during use. 16. The method as recited in claim 15, wherein the upper and lower ends of the arcuate rib are configured to define a flare of the earpiece, the method further comprising allowing the flare to be captured by a bottom of a pinna of the ear proximate the back side of the concha bowl, an antitragus of the ear, and/or an outer portion of an ear canal of the ear, to help secure the earpiece in place during use. 17. The method as recited in claim 15, wherein the earpiece comprises a lower portion defined proximate the lower end of the arcuate rib, the method further comprising allowing the lower portion to be captured by and/or beneath a tragus of the ear to help secure the earpiece in place during use. 18. The method as recited in claim 15, wherein the ear is a right ear or a left ear, the method further comprising allowing a first shape of the generally arcuate rib to engage the left ear, or allowing a second shape, different from the first shape, to engage the right ear, to resist movement of the earpiece that would result in separation of the earpiece from the ear. 19. The method as recited in claim 15, wherein the earpiece comprises a lower portion defined proximate the lower end of the arcuate rib and configured to engage a protrusion configured to extend at least partially into an ear canal of the ear, the method further comprising allowing a shape of the generally arcuate rib to engage the ear to resist translational or rotational movement of the earpiece that would move the earpiece away from a desired position substantially within the concha bowl, wherein the shape of the generally arcuate rib is configured to position the protrusion relative to the ear canal such that it extends ergonomically and at least partially through a first bend, and/or a central portion of the ear canal. 20. The method as recited in claim 15, wherein the earpiece comprises a lower portion defined proximate the lower end of the arcuate rib and configured to engage a protrusion configured to extend at least partially into an ear canal of the ear, wherein the protrusion comprises an ergonomic shape conforming to a first bend and/or a central portion of the ear canal, the method further comprising adjusting a position and/or orientation of the protrusion relative to the earpiece to help conform the ergonomic shape to the ear canal. 21. The method as recited in claim 15, wherein the earpiece comprises a lower portion of the earpiece defined proximate the lower end of the arcuate rib and configured to engage a protrusion configured to extend at least partially into an ear canal of the ear, the method further comprising inserting the protrusion at least partially into the ear canal of the ear to allow the protrusion to contact the ear proximate a crus of a helix of the ear and/or proximate a tragus of the ear to help secure the earpiece in place during use. 22. The method as recited in claim 15, wherein the earpiece comprises a lower portion of the earpiece defined proximate the lower end of the arcuate rib and configured to engage a protrusion configured to extend at least partially into an ear canal of the ear, the method further comprising inserting the protrusion at least partially into the ear canal of the ear to allow the protrusion to be captured by a top, a bottom, a first bend, and/or a central portion of the ear canal (8,9) to help secure the earpiece in place during use. 23. The method as recited in claim 15, wherein the earpiece is configured to engage a protrusion configured to extend at least partially into an ear canal, the method further comprising inserting the protrusion at least partially into the ear canal of the ear. 24. The method as recited in claim 15, wherein the earpiece is configured to engage a removable protrusion configured to extend at least partially into an ear canal, the method further comprising engaging the protrusion with a lower portion of the earpiece defined proximate the lower end of the arcuate rib before the deforming the arcuate rib. 25. The method as recited in claim 15, wherein the earpiece comprises a speaker mounted to the earpiece and/or placed inside or partially inside the earpiece. 26. The method as recited in claim 15, wherein the earpiece comprises a generally vertical rib extending between the upper and lower ends of the arcuate rib to define a middle front portion and/or a lower portion of the earpiece, the method further comprising allowing the middle front portion to be captured by and/or on top of and beneath a crus of a helix of the ear and/or allowing the lower portion to be captured by and/or beneath a crus of a helix of the ear, to help secure the earpiece in place during use.
