The housing of claim 2, wherein the first side of the wedge further comprises: a first contact portion defined at a first end of the wedge; anda second contact portion defined between the first contact portion and a second end of the wedge. 4. The housing of claim 3, wherein the first contact portion is a substantially triangularly shaped projection, which extends outwardly from the first side of the wedge. 5. The housing of claim 3, wherein the second contact portion is a projection that extends outwardly from the first side of the wedge and includes a first channel. 6. The housing of claim 1, wherein the second housing component includes a channel, and the second engagement system further comprises: a snap housing that is movable within the channel between the first position and the second position; anda biasing member received at least partially within the channel that biases the snap housing in the first position. 7. The housing of claim 6, wherein the snap housing further comprises a first side and a second side, and the second side includes a guide for the biasing member. 8. The housing of claim 7, wherein the first side of the snap housing includes at least one projection to provide audible feedback. 9. A housing for a fluid infusion device, comprising: a first side extending substantially perpendicular to a first end;a first engagement system coupled adjacent to the first end, a wedge of the first engagement system movable relative to the first end between a first position and a second position in a direction substantially parallel to the first end, the first engagement system disposed within the housing, the first engagement system including a retention member fixedly coupled to a first housing component and a first biasing member coupled about the retention member, the wedge defining a throughbore that receives the retention member and a portion of the first biasing member; anda second engagement system coupled to the first side, a portion of the second engagement system movable relative to the first side within the housing in a direction substantially perpendicular to the first side, the second engagement system disposed within the housing. 10. The housing of claim 9, further comprising: the first housing component; anda second housing component coupled to the first housing component,wherein the first engagement system is coupled to the first housing component and the second engagement system is coupled at least partially to the second housing component. 11. The housing of claim 10, wherein the first biasing member is coupled about the retention member to bias the wedge into the first position. 12. The housing of claim 11, wherein the wedge has a first side and a second side, and the first side extends along a longitudinal axis of the wedge for a length greater than a length of the second side along the longitudinal axis of the wedge, and the length of the first side is selected to provide a guide for the first biasing member. 13. The housing of claim 12, wherein the first side of the wedge further comprises: a first contact portion defined at a first end of the wedge; anda second contact portion defined between the first contact portion and a second end of the wedge. 14. The housing of claim 13, wherein the second housing component includes a channel defined in a direction substantially perpendicular to the first side, and the second engagement system is at least partially received within the channel. 15. The housing of claim 14, wherein the second housing component further comprises: a snap housing that is movable within the channel between a first position and a second position; anda second biasing member received at least partially within the channel that biases the snap housing in the first position. 16. The housing of claim 15, wherein the snap housing further comprises a first side and a second side, and the second side includes a guide for the second biasing member. 17. The housing of claim 9, wherein the fluid infusion device is an insulin infusion device.
