The invention relates to a method for producing a metallic pressed sheet or an endless strip, whereby a surface structure is produced by applying a mask for partial chemical passivation followed by chemical surface treatment. The invention also relates to a device for implementing said method. In order to significantly improve the reproducibility and the resolution of the mask obtained, the mask is produced from a UV-hardening lacquer which is applied by a suitable device. The resolution is improved by means of a nozzle matrix which sprays the UV-hardening lacquer in dots, the individual dots forming a pattern as a result of the overspraying thereof, thereby forming the mask to be produced. The UV-hardening lacquer is especially advantageous in that it can be removed from the surface very easily after the etching process, and enables a high reproducibility compared to the conventional screen printing methods.

1. A method for the surface structuring of a metal press plate or endless strip used for pressing, comprising the steps of: seating the press plate or endless strip on a work table with a flat surface to apply and harden a mask, wherein the press plate or endless strip is held on the flat surface by means of a vacuum generated by a vacuum device, and wherein the flat surface comprises a plurality of flat sub-surfaces each having a suction opening connected to the vacuum and the sub-surfaces are spaced apart in a regular two-dimensional array along the length and width of the flat surface in such a way that large press plates with a width of up to 3 meters and a length of up to 8 meters can be processed, applying the mask for partial passivation, comprised at least in part of a hardenable UV lacquer, with a spray head by means of a digitalized printing method, wherein the spray head is guided by means of a digitalized template, which is identical to the printed image of an impregnated paper used in a further pressing process, wherein the UV-hardening lacquer is preheated prior to the application and is applied at a constant temperature, the temperature of the UV-hardening lacquer being maintained at 50° C. to 100° C.,wherein the spray head has a plurality of nozzles which are arranged in the form of a matrix and are actuated individually and a random selection of a nozzle from the matrix is made for the printing of a specified pattern dot to be printed, the randomly selected nozzle printing the dot when it passes over the area to be printed, and wherein the spray head is guided at a constant, short distance of 0.1 to 4 mm from the surface of the press plate or endless strip,at least partially irradiating the mask with a UV light source immediately after the application for hardening, chemically processing the surface of the press plate or the endless strip. 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the UV-hardening lacquer is applied by a printing method, in particular a digitized printing method, and wherein the data for the digitized printing method is taken from designs on impregnated paper used in a further pressing process. 3. The method of claim 1, wherein the nozzle head is configured to move in the X and/or Y direction in a plane and in the Z direction with respect to the plane, or the nozzle head is held stationary so that it can move only in the Z direction while the press plates or endless strips can be moved with respect to the nozzle head. 4. The method of claim 1, wherein the nozzle head is guided at a short distance of 0.8 mm, from the surface of the press plates or the endless strips, wherein an automatic leveling device guides the nozzle head so that it moves at the selected distance from the press plate or endless strip. 5. The method of claim 1, wherein the nozzle head builds up the mask to be applied in a plurality of separate operations. 6. The method of claim 1, wherein the nozzles of the nozzle head are located next to one another in an X and Y direction and the nozzle head is moved in the direction of an X and Y axis, wherein the nozzles being functionally combined into groups of at least two nozzles each, the nozzles and/or the press plates or endless strips being moved after the processing in the direction of the Y axis into a new position along the X axis, the width of the movement along the X axis equaling the width of the nozzle matrix plus or minus the distance from the neighboring nozzles of the matrix divided by the number of nozzles in a row. 7. The method of claim 1, wherein the UV light source emits UV light exclusively during the period in which the nozzle head also sprays material for the application of the mask. 8. The method of claim 1, wherein a black mask for a UV lamp and/or a lampshade is used to prevent reflections. 9. The method of claim 1, wherein shortwave light from the UV light source is blocked by a light filter, the absorption edge of the light filter being selected so that the light that passes through the filter is completely absorbed by the material of the press plate or the endless strip. 10. The method of claim 1, wherein the press plates or endless strips are processed in a horizontal or vertical position. 11. The method of claim 1, wherein the press plates or endless strips are subjected to a pretreatment. 12. The method of claim 11, wherein the pretreatment is performed by a mechanical cleansing and cleaning with isopropanol, ethanol, or spirits, and/or a treatment with a primer such as an organic silyl compound. 13. The method of claim 1, wherein the surface of the press plates or endless strips is etched before the application of the mask. 14. The method of claim 1, wherein the press plate is subjected to a chemical pretreatment which produces a dull surface to prevent the reflection of light. 15. The method of claim 1, wherein an etching technology is used for the chemical surface structuring. 16. The method of claim 15, wherein after the completion of the etching process, the mask is removed by a solvent. 17. The method of claim 16, wherein ultrasound is also used to assist in the removal of the mask. 18. The method of claim 1, further comprising the step of providing the press plates or endless strips with a post-treatment coating. 19. The method of claim 18, wherein the post-treatment coating is a chromium plating. 20. The method of claim 1, wherein the UV-hardening lacquer is preheated prior to the application and is applied at a constant temperature, the temperature of the UV-hardening lacquer being maintained at 65° C. to 75°. 21. The method of claim 18, wherein the post-treatment coating is a hard chromium plating. 22. The method of claim 1, wherein laser diodes or UV diodes emit a pulse of light exclusively during the period in which the print head performs a pump surge.
