The arrangement of claim 1, wherein the hard shell further comprises at least one button opening and the flexible cover comprises at least one soft button configured and arranged to protrude from the at least one button opening of the hard shell. 3. The arrangement of claim 1, wherein the hard shell comprises a skirt configured and arranged to extend around at least a portion of the mouth opening. 4. The arrangement of claim 1, wherein the hard shell comprises a skirt configured and arranged to extend around an entirety of the mouth opening. 5. The arrangement of claim 1, wherein the flexible cover further comprises a positioning interface defining a rim around the contactor of the adapter to guide proper mating of the contactor of the adapter to an external connector. 6. The arrangement of claim 5, wherein the positioning interface comprises a magnetic coupling element resident in the flexible cover adjacent to the contactor, wherein the magnetic coupling element comprises one of a magnetic material or a magnetically attractive material. 7. The arrangement of claim 5, wherein the positioning interface and the contactor form a male structure extending from an adjacent portion of the flexible cover. 8. A docking system, comprising: the protective arrangement of claim 1; anda docking cradle comprising a tray configured to receive the protective arrangement and a docking connector comprising a plurality of contacts positioned to connect with one or more of the plurality of contacts of the contactor. 9. The docking system of claim 8, wherein the flexible cover further comprises a positioning interface defining a rim around the contactor of the adapter and the docking cradle further comprises a base receiver configured to mate with the positioning interface of the flexible cover. 10. The docking system of claim 9, wherein one of the positioning interface and the base receiver comprises a female portion and a different one of the positioning interface and the base receiver comprises a male portion complementary to the female portion. 11. The docking system of claim 9, wherein the positioning interface defines an asymmetric rim and the base receiver defines an asymmetric rim configured and arranged to be disposed adjacent the rim of the positioning interface when the base receiver is mated to the positioning interface. 12. The docking system of claim 9, wherein the positioning interface comprises a first magnetic coupling element resident in the flexible cover adjacent to the contactor and the base receiver comprises a second magnetic coupling element, wherein the first magnetic coupling element comprises one of a magnetic material or a magnetically attractive material and the second magnetic coupling element comprises another of the magnetic material or the magnetically attractive material. 13. A protective arrangement for an electronic device, the arrangement comprising: a flexible cover comprising a panel and a skirt surrounding the panel, wherein the panel and skirt form an interior cavity therebetween, and the skirt forming a mouth opening that communicates with the interior cavity, wherein the interior cavity is configured and arranged to receive an electronic device;an adapter fixedly positioned in the flexible cover, the adapter comprising a male plug comprising a plurality of connectors extending into the interior cavity of the flexible cover in an arrangement for mating with a female socket of the electronic device, and a contactor comprising a plurality of contacts adjacent outwardly from the flexible cover and electrically coupled to one or more of the connectors of the plug; anda hard shell configured and arranged to be disposed around at least a portion of the flexible cover and comprising, an opening through which the contactor of the adapter is extendable, wherein the hard shell further comprises a plurality of corner openings and the flexible cover comprises a plurality of corner portions configured and arranged to protrude from the corner openings of the hard shell. 14. A protective arrangement for an electronic device, the arrangement comprising: a hard shell configured and arranged to be disposed around at least a portion of the electronic device and comprising an opening to allow access to an input/output socket of the electronic device;a flexible cover comprising a panel and a skirt surrounding the panel, wherein the panel and skirt form an interior cavity therebetween, and the skirt forming a mouth opening that communicates with the interior cavity, wherein the interior cavity is configured and arranged to receive the electronic device disposed in the hard shell, wherein the flexible cover is configured and arranged to at least partially cover one of a back face or a front face of the electronic device disposed in the hard shell, at least partially cover a plurality of side faces of the electronic device disposed in the hard shell, and extend around a peripheral edge of another one of the front face or the back face of the electronic device disposed in the hard shell to secure the electronic device within the flexible cover; andan adapter fixedly positioned in the flexible cover, the adapter comprising a male plug comprising a plurality of connectors extending into the interior cavity of the flexible cover in an arrangement for mating with the input/output socket of the electronic device through the opening in the hard shell, and a contactor comprising a plurality of contacts adjacent outwardly from the flexible cover and electrically coupled to one or more of the connectors of the plug. 15. The arrangement of claim 14, wherein the flexible cover further comprises a positioning interface defining a rim around the contactor of the adapter to guide proper mating of the contactor of the adapter to an external connector. 16. The arrangement of claim 15, wherein the positioning interface comprises a magnetic coupling element resident in the flexible cover adjacent to the contactor, wherein the magnetic coupling element comprises one of a magnetic material or a magnetically attractive material. 17. The arrangement of claim 15, wherein the positioning interface and the contactor form a male structure extending from an adjacent portion of the flexible cover. 18. A docking system, comprising: the protective arrangement of claim 14; anda docking cradle comprising a tray configured to receive the protective arrangement and a docking connector comprising a plurality of contacts positioned to connect with one or more of the plurality of contacts of the contactor. 19. The docking system of claim 18, wherein the flexible cover further comprises a positioning interface defining a rim around the contactor of the adapter and the docking cradle further comprises a base receiver configured to mate with the positioning interface of the flexible cover. 20. The docking system of claim 19, wherein the positioning interface comprises a first magnetic coupling element resident in the flexible cover adjacent to the contactor and the base receiver comprises a second magnetic coupling element, wherein the first magnetic coupling element comprises one of a magnetic material or a magnetically attractive material and the second magnetic coupling element comprises another of the magnetic material or the magnetically attractive material.
