Systems and methods involving reconfigurable rotating masses are disclosed. One embodiment may take the form of a system having a motor and coupled weights attached to the motor. Operation of the motor rotates the coupled weights and the weights are dynamically reconfigurable to change the location

1. A system comprising: a motor; anda weight structure coupled to the motor, the weight structure comprising: a first weight; anda second weight at least partially contained within an aperture defined by the first weight, wherein the second weight is configured to move within the aperture of the first weight to shift a center of mass of the weight structure, wherein a first magnet is embedded in the first weight, and wherein a second magnet is embedded in the second weight. 2. The system of claim 1, further comprising a spring element configured to apply a restoring force on the second weight. 3. The system defined in claim 1, wherein the first magnet has poles, and wherein the second magnet has poles that are oriented oppositely from the poles of the first magnet. 4. The system defined in claim 1, wherein the first magnet has a north pole and a south pole, wherein the second magnet has a north pole and a south pole, and wherein the south pole of the first magnet is oriented towards the north pole of the second magnet. 5. The system defined in claim 1, wherein the first weight has a first shape and the second weight has a second shape that is different than the first shape. 6. The system defined in claim 1, wherein the first weight is larger than the second weight. 7. A system comprising: a motor; anda weight structure coupled to the motor, the weight structure comprising: a first weight; anda second weight at least partially contained within an aperture defined by the first weight, wherein the second weight is configured to move within the aperture of the first weight to shift a center of mass of the weight structure, wherein the second weight includes a magnet, and wherein the second weight is magnetized by the motor. 8. The system defined in claim 7, wherein the first weight has a first shape and the second weight has a second shape that is different than the first shape. 9. The system defined in claim 7, wherein the first weight is larger than the second weight. 10. A system comprising: a motor; anda weight structure coupled to the motor, the weight structure comprising: a first weight; anda second weight at least partially contained within an aperture defined by the first weight, wherein the second weight is configured to move within the aperture of the first weight to shift a center of mass of the weight structure, wherein the first weight has at least one detent, and wherein the second weight has at least one detent that corresponds to the at least one detent of the first weight. 11. The system defined in claim 10, wherein the first weight has a first shape and the second weight has a second shape that is different than the first shape. 12. The system defined in claim 10, wherein the first weight is larger than the second weight.
