The height adjustable desk of claim 1, wherein the first member is an upper member, wherein the second member is a middle member, and wherein the third member is a lower member, and wherein the energy storage member and the counterbalance member are positioned in the upper member. 6. The height adjustable desk of claim 5, wherein the upper member has a first end and a second end, the second end being adjacent the middle member, and wherein the at least one pulley wheel is adjacent the second end. 7.
