A stray light suppression system, comprising: a shroud mechanically adapted to be removably and replacably mounted to a see-through display system adapted to be worn on the head of a user;the shroud further adapted to, when mounted on the see-through display system, suppress light emitted from the see-through display system and suppress surrounding environment light from entering sides of the see-through display system; andthe shroud further comprising a tactile effects system and lighting effects system,wherein the light suppression system further includes an outer lens, wherein the outer lens has a see-through transparency of between 2% and 5% to create an immersive environment for the user while creating a transparency that maintains a visual connection for the user to the surrounding environment. 5. A stray light suppression system, comprising: a shroud mechanically adapted to be removably and replacably mounted to a see-through display system adapted to be worn on the head of a user;the shroud further adapted to, when mounted on the see-through display system, suppress light emitted from the see-through display system and suppress surrounding environment light from entering sides of the see-through display system; andthe shroud further comprising a tactile effects system and lighting effects system,wherein the light suppression system further includes an outer lens, wherein the outer lens has a see-through transparency of between 5% and 10% to create an immersive environment for the user while creating a transparency that maintains a visual connection for the user to the surrounding environment. 6. A stray light suppression system, comprising: a shroud mechanically adapted to be removably and replacably mounted to a see-through display system adapted to be worn on the head of a user;the shroud further adapted to, when mounted on the see-through display system, suppress light emitted from the see-through display system and suppress surrounding environment light from entering sides of the see-through display system; andthe shroud further comprising a tactile effects system and lighting effects system,wherein the light suppression system further includes an outer lens, wherein the outer lens has a see-through transparency of between 10% and 20% to create an immersive environment for the user while creating a transparency that maintains a visual connection for the user to the surrounding environment. 7. A stray light suppression system, comprising: a shroud mechanically adapted to be removably and replacably mounted to a see-through display system adapted to be worn on the head of a user;the shroud further adapted to, when mounted on the see-through display system, suppress light emitted from the see-through display system and suppress surrounding environment light from entering sides of the see-through display system; andthe shroud further comprising a tactile effects system and lighting effects system,wherein the light suppression system further includes an outer lens, wherein the outer lens has a see-through transparency of greater than 20%. 8. A stray light suppression system, comprising: a shroud mechanically adapted to be removably and replacably mounted to a see-through display system adapted to be worn on the head of a user;the shroud further adapted to, when mounted on the see-through display system, suppress light emitted from the see-through display system and suppress surrounding environment light from entering sides of the see-through display system; andthe shroud further comprising a tactile effects system and lighting effects system,wherein the light suppression system further includes an outer lens, wherein the outer lens has a low transparency in an area behind a field of view presented to the eye of the user and a higher transparency outside of the area behind the field of view. 9. A stray light suppression system, comprising: a shroud mechanically adapted to be removably and replacably mounted to a see-through display system adapted to be worn on the head of a user;the shroud further adapted to, when mounted on the see-through display system, suppress light emitted from the see-through display system and suppress surrounding environment light from entering sides of the see-through display system; andthe shroud further comprising a tactile effects system and lighting effects system,wherein the shroud has an area of transparency to provide the user with a perspective of the surrounding environment. 10. The system of claim 9, wherein the transparency is a partial transparency. 11. A stray light suppression system, comprising: a shroud mechanically adapted to be removably and replacably mounted to a see-through display system adapted to be worn on the head of a user;the shroud further adapted to, when mounted on the see-through display system, suppress light emitted from the see-through display system and suppress surrounding environment light from entering sides of the see-through display system; andthe shroud further comprising a tactile effects system and lighting effects system,further comprising a data connection adapted to connect the shroud and the see-through display. 12. The system of claim 11, wherein the data connection is established through an attachment system that mechanically connects the shroud to the see-through display. 13. The system of claim 11, wherein the data connection is a wireless data connection.
