The composite slip of claim 6, wherein the groove disposed proximate the slip end extends all the way through the slip end. 9. The composite slip of claim 6, wherein the circular slip body comprises a first inner surface having a first angle with respect to an axis, and a second inner surface having a second angle with respect to the axis. 10. The composite slip of claim 9, wherein the first angle is about 20 degrees, and wherein the second angle is about 40 degrees. 11.
