Methods of employing bone defect filling, e.g., orthopedic cements, such as calcium phosphate cements and the like, are provided. A feature of the subject methods is that vibration is employed in conjunction with the use of the cement, e.g., in preparation of the cement, in preparation of the target site, in delivery of the cement to the target site, and/or following delivery of the cement to the target site. Also provided are devices, systems and kits that find use in practicing the subject methods. The subject methods, devices and systems find use in a variety of different applications.

1. A method of introducing a cement composition into a target bone site, said method comprising: preparing the target bone site in conjunction with vibration, wherein the preparing step comprises applying a vibratory force to the target bone site while aspirating marrow from the target bone site; anddelivering said cement composition to said target bone site in conjunction with vibration, wherein the aspirating is performed on a first side of the target bone site and the delivering of the cement composition is performed at a second side of the target bone site, the first side being separate from the second side on a surface of the target bone site, and the aspirating is performed as the delivering of the cement composition is performed. 2. The method according to claim 1, wherein said target bone site is part of a reduced fracture. 3. The method according to claim 2, wherein said target bone site comprises cancellous bone. 4. The method according to claim 3, wherein said vibration used in conjunction with delivering the cement composition provides for controlled penetration of said cement composition into said cancellous bone without use of substantial pressure. 5. The method according to claim 4, wherein penetration of said cement into said cancellous bone stops substantially simultaneously with cessation of said vibration used in conjunction with delivering the cement composition. 6. The method according to claim 1, wherein said vibration used in conjunction with delivering the cement composition is provided by applying vibratory force to a cement composition introduction element of a delivery device for said cement. 7. The method according to claim 6, wherein said cement composition introduction element is a tubular structure. 8. The method according to claim 7, wherein said delivery device comprises a vibratory element for vibrating said tubular structure. 9. The method according to claim 8, wherein said tubular structure is a needle. 10. The method according to claim 1, wherein the vibrating force is at a frequency ranging from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. 11. The method according to claim 1, wherein the preparing step comprises removing hematoma from the target bone site. 12. The method according to claim 1, wherein the rate of removing the marrow from the target bone site is enhanced by applying the vibratory force to the target bone site. 13. The method of claim 1, wherein the vibratory force is at a frequency in the infrasonic or audible range. 14. The method of claim 1, wherein the cement composition is a calcium phosphate cement composition. 15. The method of claim 1, further comprising applying an additional vibratory force to said cement composition after said cement composition is delivered to said target bone site to control a setting rate of said cement composition. 16. The method of claim 1, further comprising applying an additional vibratory force to said cement composition after said cement composition is delivered to said target bone site to modify a configuration of said cement composition.
