Also in various embodiments, the security panel assembly may be positioned intermediate the bag outside wall and a lining of the bag, and in other embodiments, may also take the form of an expansion panel. Second or secondary locking fasteners are also provided to lock first or primary fasteners to or within the carrying bag, to provide security for compartments and pockets. A strap with one or more security cables, and various locking fasteners, may be attached to the carry bag. Methods for forming such security panel assemblies, expansion panels, and carrying straps are also disclosed.

The expandable carrying bag of claim 1, wherein the second wire matrix overlaps at least part of the first wire matrix in an expanded state of the flexible security expansion panel. 5. The expandable carrying bag of claim 1, wherein the first wire matrix and the second wire matrix each comprise a plurality of wire crossings. 6. The expandable carrying bag of claim 5, wherein each wire crossing of the plurality of wire crossings comprises at least two sections of at least one wire abutting and crossing over each other. 7. The expandable carrying bag of claim 1, wherein the first wire matrix has a first width and the second wire matrix has a second width, the second width smaller than the first width. 8. The expandable carrying bag of claim 1, wherein the flexible security expansion panel is foldable along the stitching of the second security panel subassembly to the first security panel subassembly for an unexpanded state of the flexible security expansion panel. 9. The expandable carrying bag of claim 1, wherein each of the first security panel subassembly and the second security panel subassembly further comprise a plurality of tabs or second flange regions to couple the first security panel assembly to the main body component or to the secondary body component. 10. The expandable carrying bag of claim 1, further comprising one or more releasable second fasteners to removably couple the first security panel assembly to the main body component or to the secondary body component. 11. The expandable carrying bag of claim 1, wherein the flexible security expansion panel further comprises: a third security panel subassembly stitched to be pivotably or rotatably coupled to the first security panel subassembly or to the second security panel subassembly, the third security panel subassembly comprising a fifth flexible material layer, a third wire matrix, and a sixth flexible material layer coupled to the fifth flexible material layer to secure the third wire matrix between the fifth and sixth flexible material layers. 12. The expandable carrying bag of claim 11, wherein the flexible security expansion panel further comprises: a fourth security panel subassembly stitched to be pivotably or rotatably coupled to the third security panel subassembly, the fourth security panel subassembly comprising a seventh flexible material layer, a fourth wire matrix, and an eighth flexible material layer coupled to the seventh flexible material layer to secure the fourth wire matrix between the seventh and eighth flexible material layers. 13. The expandable carrying bag of claim 1, further comprising: a third security panel subassembly comprising a fifth flexible material layer, a third wire matrix, and a sixth flexible material layer coupled to the fifth flexible material layer to secure the third wire matrix between the fifth and sixth flexible material layers; anda fourth security panel subassembly comprising a seventh flexible material layer, a fourth wire matrix, and an eighth flexible material layer coupled to the seventh flexible material layer to secure the fourth wire matrix between the seventh and eighth flexible material layers, the fourth security panel subassembly stitched to be pivotably or rotatably coupled to the third security panel subassembly;wherein at least one of the third and fourth security panel assemblies is stitched to be longitudinally overlapping at least part of the first or second security panel subassemblies. 14. The expandable carrying bag of claim 1, wherein each of the main body component and the secondary body component further comprise one or more second security panel assemblies arranged in the interior compartment and attached to the main body component or to the secondary body component, each second security panel assembly of the one or more second security panel assemblies comprising: a fifth flexible material layer attached to the main body component or to the secondary body component; anda third wire matrix, the third wire matrix comprising a plurality of wire crossings forming a plurality of closed wire shapes or boxes, each wire crossing comprising at least two sections of wire abutting and crossing over each other; anda sixth flexible material layer coupled to the fifth flexible material layer to secure the third wire matrix between the fifth and sixth flexible material layers. 15. The expandable carrying bag of claim 14, wherein one or more of the first wire matrix, the second wire matrix, or the third wire matrix is comprised of a metal wire or cable or a cut-resistant polymeric yarn or fiber. 16. The expandable carrying bag of claim 14, wherein adjacent a periphery of the fifth flexible material layer, the third wire matrix is arranged as a plurality of bent or curved portions spaced apart from the periphery of the fifth flexible material layer; wherein the third wire matrix is comprised of a single wire having a first end and a second end; and further comprising at least one polymeric or adhesive cap or coating is coupled to the first end or to the second end of the single wire or to both the first end and the second end of the single wire. 17. The expandable carrying bag of claim 1, further comprising: at least one second fastener coupled to the first security panel assembly; andwherein a first edge of the first security panel assembly is attached to the main body component, and wherein a second edge of the first security panel assembly is removably couplable through the at least one second fastener to the main body component, or wherein the first edge of the first security panel assembly is attached to the secondary body component, and wherein the second edge of the first security panel assembly is removably couplable through the at least one second fastener to the secondary body component. 18. The expandable carrying bag of claim 1, further comprising: at least one second fastener coupled to the first security panel assembly; andwherein the entire first security panel assembly is removably coupled through the at least one second fastener to the main body component or to the secondary body component. 19. The expandable carrying bag of claim 1, wherein the first security panel assembly is foldable at the stitching of the second security panel subassembly of the first security panel subassembly to form a gusset coupled to the main body component or to the secondary body component. 20. The expandable carrying bag of claim 20, wherein the second wire matrix overlaps at least part of the first wire matrix in the expanded state of the flexible security expansion panel. 23.
