The soft-sided insulated container of claim 1 wherein: said body includes a front panel and a real panel;said flexible member extends between, and is anchored to (a) said top; and (b) said rear panel inwardly of said upper margin;said top is four-sided, and said closure member extending about all four sides thereof, said closure member being operable releasably to secure said top to said upper margin of said soft-sided insulated body of said container; andin said collapsed position said flexible member extends over said collapsed body and said top locates in front of said collapsed body. 6. The soft-sided insulated container of claim 1 wherein said rigid member includes peripherally located upstanding retainers. 7. The soft-sided insulated container of claim 1 wherein, in said collapsed position, said flexible member extends over said collapsed body and said top locates in front of said collapsed body. 8. The soft-sided insulated container of claim 7 comprising a retainer releasably operable to hold said lid in front of said body in said collapsed position. 9. A soft-sided insulated container having: a soft-sided insulated body defining an insulated chamber therewithin, and a top;said top including a rigid member, said rigid member including a work surface upon which to rest objects;said top defining a first closure member of said container;said top being movable relative to said body between an open position and a closed position;said body being movable between a collapsed position and a non-collapsed position;said soft-sided insulated body, when in said non-collapsed position, has an upper margin extending peripherally thereabout, and said top is releasably connectible to said upper margin;a flexible member connects said top to said body;said flexible member permitting said top to disconnect from said upper margin of said body;said body includes a front panel and a real panel;said flexible member extends between, and is anchored to (a) said top; and (b) said rear panel inwardly of said upper margin. 10. A soft-sided insulated container having: a soft-sided insulated body defining an insulated chamber therewithin, and a top;said top including a rigid member, said rigid member including a work surface upon which to rest objects;said top defining a first closure member of said container;said top being movable relative to said body between an open position and a closed position;said body being movable between a collapsed position and a non-collapsed position;said soft-sided insulated body, when in said non-collapsed position, has an upper margin extending peripherally thereabout, and said top is releasably connectible to said upper margin;a flexible member connects said top to said body;said flexible member permitting said top to disconnect from said upper margin of said body; andan auxiliary closure is inset in said rigid member. 11. The soft-sided insulated container of claim 10 wherein said rigid member forms a U-shape about said auxiliary closure. 12. A soft-sided insulated container having: a soft-sided insulated body defining an insulated chamber therewithin, and a top;said top including a rigid member, said rigid member including a work surface upon which to rest objects;said top defining a first closure member of said container;said top being movable relative to said body between an open position and a closed position;said body being movable between a collapsed position and a non-collapsed position;said soft-sided insulated body, when in said non-collapsed position, has an upper margin extending peripherally thereabout, and said top is releasably connectible to said upper margin;a flexible member connects said top to said body;said flexible member permitting said top to disconnect from said upper margin of said body;said body has a front and a rear;said top has corresponding forward and rearward margins;an auxiliary closure member is inset in said top, and said auxiliary closure member has a hinged edge closest to said rearward margin of said top, and said top opens toward said rigid member. 13. A soft sided-insulated container assembly comprising: a soft-sided insulated body, a co-operable top; and a secondary member;said soft-sided insulated body being movable between a collapsed position and a non-collapsed position;said top being attached to an upper rear margin of said soft-sided insulated body, and, when said body is in said non-collapsed position, said top being movable between an open position and a closed position relative to said body whereby to permit access thereto;said top having a rigid member, said rigid member defining a first work surface;said secondary member defining a second work surface;said secondary member being movable between a retracted position and a deployed position; and, in said deployed position, said secondary work surface providing a working surface area non-obstructive of opening said top. 15. The soft sided insulated container assembly of claim 14 wherein, in said deployed position, said second work surface is cantilevered away from said body. 16. The soft-sided insulated container assembly of claim 14 wherein in said retracted position said second work surface is folded against said body. 17. The soft-sided insulated container assembly of claim 14 wherein said secondary member is hingedly attached to a rear margin of said body. 18. The soft-sided insulated container assembly of claim 14 wherein, in said deployed position, said second work surface is substantially level with said first work surface. 19. The soft-sided insulated container assembly of claim 14 wherein said secondary member is a drop-leaf, and said container assembly has a support leg that is movable to a position under said drop leaf when said secondary member is in said deployed position. 20.
