A golf club incorporating an interchangeable shaft system includes a shaft, a shaft sleeve, a club head. The shaft sleeve is coupled to an end of the shaft and is received in a hosel included in the club head. The shaft sleeve is removably coupled to the club head. Hosel and shaft sleeve alignment features provide discrete orientations between the shaft and club head.

1. A golf club, comprising: a golf club head including a golf club head body and a hosel, the hosel defining a hosel bore;an elongate shaft;a shaft sleeve coupled to a distal end portion of the shaft, the shaft sleeve including a sleeve body defining a longitudinal axis and a shaft bore;a first wedge member defining a sleeve bore and a first wedge angle between a first end surface and a second end surface of the first wedge member;a second wedge member defining a sleeve bore and a second wedge angle between a first end surface and a second end surface of the second wedge member; anda fastener that releasably couples the shaft sleeve to the club head so that the wedge members are interposed between a portion of the shaft sleeve and the hosel, wherein the first wedge member and the second wedge member each include complementary alignment features that provide a limited number of relative positions between the first wedge member and the second wedge member, wherein the first wedge member and the second wedge member are oriented between the shaft sleeve and the hosel to provide a plurality of coupling positions with each position producing a specific combination of a loft angle orientation and a lie angle orientation between the shaft and the golf club head, wherein the coupling positions include at least three coupling positions having the same loft angle orientation and at least three different lie angle orientations and at least three coupling positions having the same lie angle orientation and at least three different loft angle orientations. 2. The golf club of claim 1, wherein the shaft sleeve includes a plurality of alignment features that engage complementary alignment features on the first wedge member, wherein the hosel includes a plurality of alignment features that engage complementary alignment features on the second wedge member, and wherein the first wedge member is disposed proximally of the second wedge member. 3. The golf club of claim 1, wherein the magnitude of the first wedge angle of the first wedge member is different than the magnitude of the second wedge angle of the second wedge member. 4. The golf club of claim 1, further comprising a retainer coupled to a distal end of the shaft sleeve, wherein the retainer prevents the first and second wedge members from separating from the shaft sleeve. 5. The golf club of claim 1, wherein a longitudinal axis of the shaft bore is coaxial with the longitudinal axis of the sleeve body. 6. The golf club of claim 1, wherein the shaft bore defines a non-zero shaft angle between a longitudinal axis of the shaft bore and the longitudinal axis of the sleeve body. 7. The golf club of claim 6, wherein the magnitude of the first wedge angle of the first wedge member is the same as the magnitude of the second wedge angle of the second wedge member. 8. The golf club of claim 7, wherein the magnitudes of the first wedge angle and the second wedge angle are each under about 5°. 9. The golf club of claim 7, wherein the magnitudes of the first wedge angle and the second wedge angle are each under about 5°. 10. The golf club of claim 1, wherein the shaft is directional so that it has at least one physical attribute that depends on the direction and location of the forces placed on the shaft, wherein that physical attribute is different for different orientations of the shaft relative to the golf club head. 11. The golf club of claim 1, wherein a portion of the hosel defines a window, wherein the window extends entirely through a side wall of the hosel. 12. The golf club of claim 11, wherein the first wedge member and the second member are disposed at least partially in the hosel so that at least a portion of each of the first wedge member and the second wedge member is visible through the window. 13. The golf club of claim 12, wherein the window is a channel that extends distally from a proximal end of the hosel. 14. A golf club, comprising: a golf club head including a golf club head body and a hosel, the hosel defining a hosel bore;an elongate shaft;a shaft sleeve coupled to a distal end portion of the shaft, the shaft sleeve including a sleeve body defining a longitudinal axis and a shaft bore, wherein the shaft bore defines a non-zero shaft angle between a longitudinal axis of the shaft bore and a longitudinal axis of the sleeve body;a wedge member defining a sleeve bore and a wedge angle between a first end surface and a second end surface of the wedge member; anda fastener that releasably couples the shaft sleeve to the club head so that the wedge member is interposed between a portion of the shaft sleeve and the hosel, wherein the wedge member and the shaft sleeve each include complementary alignment features that provide a limited number of relative positions between the wedge member and the shaft sleeve, wherein the wedge member and the shaft sleeve are oriented relative to the hosel to provide a plurality of coupling positions with each position producing a specific combination of a loft angle orientation and a lie angle orientation between the shaft and the golf club head, wherein the coupling positions include at least three coupling positions having the same loft angle orientation and at least three different lie angle orientations. 15. The golf club of claim 14, wherein the magnitude of the wedge angle of the wedge member is different than the magnitude of the shaft angle of the shaft sleeve. 16. The golf club of claim 14, further comprising a retainer coupled to a distal end of the shaft sleeve, wherein the retainer prevents the wedge member from separating from the shaft sleeve.
