A gaming system comprising: a data storage device accessible by a processor, the data storage device storing a plurality of instructions, wherein the instructions are executable by the processor to:(a) receive one or more wager inputs from a player, wherein each of the one or more wager inputs corresponds to a monetary value;(b) cause a display device to display a first symbol and a second symbol, wherein: (i) there is a visible difference between the first and second symbols; and(ii) the first and second symbols are associated with a sports event in which the first and second symbols are competitors, wherein the sports event comprises a series of incremental outcomes resulting in a final outcome, wherein each one of the incremental outcomes comprises an advantage gained by one of the first and second symbols or a disadvantage experienced by one of the first and second symbols;(c) receive the player's selection of one of the first and second symbols;(d) cause the display device to display a plurality of motions of the first and second symbols;(e) generate one of the incremental outcomes based on a randomization process;(f) cause the display device to graphically represent the generated incremental outcome;(g) repeat steps (d) through (f) at least once, resulting in a plurality of generated incremental outcomes;(h) determine an occurrence of the final outcome after the generated incremental outcomes occur;(i) determine whether the final outcome corresponds to a win for the selected symbol; and(j) determine a quantity of the advantages gained by the selected symbol;(k) determine a magnitude of a payout value depending upon the determined quantity; and(l) provide an output to the player in response to the win for the selected symbol, wherein the output corresponds to the payout value. 2. The gaming system of claim 1, wherein the data storage device stores a plurality of instructions, wherein the instructions are executable by the processor to: receive a quantity input from the player before steps (d) through (f) are performed, wherein the quantity input corresponds to a selected quantity of the advantages that might be gained by the selected symbol;receive a second wager input corresponding to the quantity input;provide a second output to the player in response to the selected quantity corresponding to the determined quantity, wherein the second output corresponds to a second payout value. 3. A gaming system comprising: a data storage device accessible by a processor, the data storage device storing a plurality of instructions, wherein the instructions are executable by the processor to:(a) receive one or more wager inputs from a player, wherein each of the one or more wager inputs corresponds to a monetary value;(b) cause a display device to display a first symbol and a second symbol, wherein: (i) there is a visible difference between the first and second symbols; and(ii) the first and second symbols are associated with a sports event in which the first and second symbols are competitors, wherein the sports event comprises a series of incremental outcomes resulting in a final outcome, wherein each one of the incremental outcomes comprises an advantage gained by one of the first and second symbols or a disadvantage experienced by one of the first and second symbols;(c) receive the player's selection of one of the first and second symbols;(d) cause the display device to display a plurality of motions of the first and second symbols;(e) generate one of the incremental outcomes based on a randomization process;(f) cause the display device to graphically represent the generated incremental outcome;(g) repeat steps (d) through (f) at least once, resulting in a plurality of generated incremental outcomes;(h) determine an occurrence of the final outcome after the generated incremental outcomes occur;(i) determine whether the final outcome corresponds to a win for the selected symbol; and(j) provide an output to the player in response to the win for the selected symbol, wherein the output corresponds to a payout value. 4. The gaming system of claim 3, wherein the data storage device stores a plurality of instructions, wherein the instructions are executable by the processor to: (a) determine a quantity of the advantages gained by the selected symbol; and(b) determine a magnitude of the payout value depending upon the quantity. 5. The gaming system of claim 3, wherein the sports event comprises a baseball game, wherein the first symbol corresponds to a pitcher, the second symbol corresponds to a batter, and the outcomes comprise at least one of a strike, a ball and a hit. 6. The gaming system of claim 3, wherein the sports event comprises a football game, wherein the first symbol corresponds to a football player of a first team, the second symbol corresponds to a football player of a second team, and the outcomes comprise at least one of a successful pass, a successful run, a broken tackle, a touchdown, an interception, a fumble and a failure to advance on fourth down. 7. The gaming system of claim 3, wherein the sports event comprises a basketball game, wherein the first symbol corresponds to a basketball player of a first team, the second symbol corresponds to a basketball player of a second team, and the outcomes comprise at least one of a successful shot, a successful layup, a successful dunk, a successful assist, a successful assist, a missed shot, a turnover and a blocked shot. 8. The gaming system of claim 3, wherein: each of the one or more wager inputs comprises an electronic signal generated in response to human action by the player;the output comprises a visual indication of the payout value; andthe instructions are executable by the processor to designate a credit for the player, wherein the credit corresponds to the payout value. 9. The gaming system of claim 3, wherein the instructions are executable by the processor to: cause an input device to receive the one or more wager inputs, wherein each of the one or more wager inputs comprises an electronic signal generated in response to an operation of the input device by the player;cause the display device to graphically represent the output; andcause a payout device to designate the payout value for the player so that the payout value is transferrable by the player. 10. The gaming system of claim 9, wherein the input device comprises one of: (a) a payment receiver; (b) a payment receiver configured to be operatively coupled to the processor; (c) a payment receiver configured to receive at least one of a cash bill or a data card; (d) a data card reader; (e) a currency acceptor; (f) a button; (g) a depressible button; (h) a bet button; (i) a play button; (j) a mobile device; (k) a mobile input device; (l) a touch module; (m) a touch panel; (n) a touchable element; (o) a means to receive the electronic signal; or (p) a non-human, electrical element configured to be operatively coupled to the processor. 11. The gaming system of claim 3, wherein: the display device is a portion of an apparatus, wherein the apparatus comprises one of a mobile device, a mobile phone, a mobile gaming station or a handheld communication device; andthe instructions are executable by the processor to cause the apparatus to receive the one or more wager inputs. 12. The gaming system of claim 1, wherein: each of the one or more wager inputs comprises an electronic signal generated in response to human action by the player;the output comprises a visual indication of the payout value; andthe instructions are executable by the processor to designate a credit for the player, wherein the credit corresponds to the payout value. 13. The gaming system of claim 1, wherein the instructions are executable by the processor to: cause an input device to receive the one or more wager inputs, wherein each of the one or more wager inputs comprises an electronic signal generated in response to an operation of the input device by the player;cause the display device to graphically represent the output; andcause a payout device to designate the payout value for the player so that the payout value is transferrable by the player. 14. The gaming system of claim 13, wherein the input device comprises one of: (a) a payment receiver; (b) a payment receiver configured to be operatively coupled to the processor; (c) a payment receiver configured to receive at least one of a cash bill or a data card; (d) a data card reader; (e) a currency acceptor; (f) a button; (g) a depressible button; (h) a bet button; (i) a play button; (j) a mobile device; (k) a mobile input device; (1) a touch module; (m) a touch panel; (n) a touchable element; (o) a means to receive the electronic signal; or (p) a non-human, electrical element configured to be operatively coupled to the processor. 15. The gaming system of claim 1, wherein: the display device is a portion of an apparatus, wherein the apparatus comprises one of a mobile device, a mobile phone, a mobile gaming station or a handheld communication device; andthe instructions are executable by the processor to cause the apparatus to receive the one or more wager inputs. 16. The gaming system of claim 1, wherein the sports event comprises one of: (a) a baseball game, wherein the first symbol corresponds to a pitcher, the second symbol corresponds to a batter, and the outcomes comprise at least one of a strike, a ball and a hit; (b) a football game, wherein the first symbol corresponds to a football player of a first team, the second symbol corresponds to a football player of a second team, and the outcomes comprise at least one of a successful pass, a successful run, a broken tackle, a touchdown, an interception, a fumble and a failure to advance on fourth down; or (c) a basketball game, wherein the first symbol corresponds to a basketball player of a first team, the second symbol corresponds to a basketball player of a second team, and the outcomes comprise at least one of a successful shot, a successful layup, a successful dunk, a successful assist, a successful assist, a missed shot, a turnover and a blocked shot. 17. A method to control a gaming system, wherein the method comprises: operating one or more data processors according to a plurality of computer-readable instructions so as to:(a) receive one or more wager inputs from a player, wherein each of the one or more wager inputs corresponds to a monetary value;(b) cause a display device to display a first competing element and a second competing element, wherein: (i) there is a visible difference between the first and second competing elements; and(ii) the first and second competing elements are associated with a sports event in which the first and second competing elements are competitors, wherein the sports event comprises a series of incremental outcomes resulting in a final outcome, wherein each one of the incremental outcomes comprises an advantage gained by one of the first and second competing elements or a disadvantage experienced by one of the first and second competing elements;(c) receive the player's selection of one of the first and second competing elements;(d) cause the display device to display an interaction between the first and second competing elements;(e) generate one of the incremental outcomes using a random-based process;(f) cause the display device to display the generated incremental outcome;(g) repeat steps (d) through (f) at least once, resulting in a plurality of generated incremental outcomes;(h) determine an occurrence of the final outcome after the generated incremental outcomes occur;(i) determine whether the final outcome corresponds to a win for the selected competing element;(j) cause the display device to indicate a payout value in response to the win; and(k) designate the payout value for the player so that the payout value is transferrable by the player. 18. The method of claim 17, comprising operating the one or more data processors according to the plurality of computer-readable instructions so as to: cause an input device to receive the one or more wager inputs, wherein each of the one or more wager inputs comprises an electronic signal generated in response to an operation of the input device by the player; anddesignate a credit for the player, wherein the credit corresponds to the payout value. 19. The method of claim 18, wherein: the input device comprises one of: (a) a payment receiver; (b) a payment receiver configured to be operatively coupled to the processor; (c) a payment receiver configured to receive at least one of a cash bill or a data card; (d) a data card reader; (e) a currency acceptor; (f) a button; (g) a depressible button; (h) a bet button; (i) a play button; (j) a mobile device; (k) a mobile input device; (1) a touch module; (m) a touch panel; (n) a touchable element; (o) a means to receive the electronic signal; or (p) a non-human, electrical element configured to be operatively coupled to the processor;the display device and the input device are portions of an apparatus, wherein the apparatus comprises one of a mobile device, a mobile phone, a mobile gaming station or a handheld communication device; andthe method comprises operating the one or more data processors according to the plurality of computer-readable instructions so as to cause the apparatus to receive the one or more wager inputs. 20. The method of claim 17, wherein the sports event comprises one of: (a) a baseball game, wherein the first competing element corresponds to a pitcher, the second competing element corresponds to a batter, and the outcomes comprise at least one of a strike, a ball and a hit; (b) a football game, wherein the first competing element corresponds to a football player of a first team, the second competing element corresponds to a football player of a second team, and the outcomes comprise at least one of a successful pass, a successful run, a broken tackle, a touchdown, an interception, a fumble and a failure to advance on fourth down; or (c) a basketball game, wherein the first competing element corresponds to a basketball player of a first team, the second competing element corresponds to a basketball player of a second team, and the outcomes comprise at least one of a successful shot, a successful layup, a successful dunk, a successful assist, a successful assist, a missed shot, a turnover and a blocked shot.
