The system of claim 1, wherein the first linear portion forms a substantially rectangular cross-sectional shape. 6. The system of claim 1, wherein the first linear portion comprises a PVC pellet compound. 7. The system of claim 1, wherein the extension adaptor comprises a lid interconnectable to a base with a passage therethrough, the passage to receive at least a portion of the first linear portion therein. 8. The system of claim 7, wherein the base of the extension adapter is configured to be mounted to a building. 9. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuit board comprises at least three LED lighting sources. 10. The system of claim 9, wherein the LED lighting sources are configured to emit at least three colors. 11. The system of claim 1, wherein the cover further comprises: a first opaque portion with the first extension projecting into the cavity;a second opaque portion with the second extension projecting into the cavity; anda transparent portion positioned between the first and second opaque portions. 12. The system of claim 1, wherein: the first cover mount includes a first receiver void oriented transverse to a first sidewall of the base housing; andthe second cover mount includes a second receiver void oriented generally parallel to a second sidewall of the base housing. 13. The system of claim 1, wherein the controller is configured to wirelessly communicate with an external device, the external device providing lighting parameters for the at least one lighting source. 14. The system of claim 13, wherein the lighting parameters comprise color and intensity. 15. The system of claim 13, wherein the lighting parameters are stored on a non-transitory computer readable medium. 16. The system of claim 1, wherein the system is substantially waterproof. 17. A waterproof lighting system comprising: a first linear portion having a first end, a second end, a base housing, and a cover, the base housing and cover forming a cavity, the cover including a first extension and a different second extension which are operable to engage the base housing;a circuit board configured to fit within the cavity, the circuit board comprising at least one LED, the base housing and the circuit board defining a second cavity; anda controller in communication with the circuit board and configured to control the circuit board and the at least one LED;wherein each of the first end and the second end are configured to engage at least one of an extension adaptor and a terminal adaptor, the extension adaptor configured to connect the first linear portion with a second linear portion. 18. The system of claim 17, wherein the controller controls lighting parameters of the at least one LED. 19. The system of claim 18, wherein the lighting parameters comprise color and intensity, and wherein the lighting parameters are stored on a non-transitory computer readable medium. 20. The system of claim 17 wherein the base housing further comprises: a first receiver void oriented transverse to a first sidewall of the base housing, the first receiver void configured to engage the first extension of the cover; anda second receiver void oriented generally parallel to a second sidewall of the base housing, the second receiver void configured to engage the second extension of the cover. 21. The system of claim 2, wherein the at least two shelf mounts comprise a first shelf mount and a different second shelf mount. 22. The system of claim 21, wherein the first shelf mount forms a shelf and the second shelf mount forms a cavity.
