The method of claim 1, further comprising, at the central location in proximity to and connected to the emulator core, a wireless communication tester configured to one of generate the transmit signal to be impaired by the emulator core and process the impaired received signal from the emulator core. 3. The method of claim 2, wherein a signal transmitted from the emulator core at the central location exterior to the test chamber to the frequency converter at the remote location within the test chamber is one of a baseband and an intermediate frequency signal. 4. The method of claim 1, wherein the frequency converter is in proximity to the antenna remote from the central location and is connected to the emulator core at the central location by a cable. 5. The method of claim 1, wherein the measurement system includes, interior to the test chamber and remote from the emulator core in the central location, a plurality of antennas, each antenna of the plurality of antennas being in proximity to, and coupled to, a different frequency converter. 6. The method of claim 1, further comprising providing a local oscillator signal from the central location exterior to the test chamber to the frequency converter at the remote location interior to the test chamber. 7. The method of claim 6, wherein the local oscillator signal is carried to the remote location by a cable carrying the impaired signal to the remote location. 8. The method of claim 1, further comprising providing a plurality of emulator cores at the central location exterior to the test chamber, each emulator core of the plurality of emulator cores being associated with and connected to a different one of a plurality of frequency converters at the remote location within the interior of the test chamber, each different one of the plurality of frequency converters being connected to a different one of a plurality of antennas in the interior of the test chamber. 9. A method of implementing a measurement system, the method comprising: providing at a remote location within an interior of a test chamber in close proximity to an antenna, for each of at least one emulated channel, a frequency converter configured to at least one of: down-convert a received radio frequency, RF, signal to produce a down-converted signal at one of baseband and a first intermediate frequency; andup-convert an impaired transmit signal at one of baseband and a second intermediate frequency to produce an impaired RF signal; andproviding at a central location exterior to the test chamber, an emulator core configured to one of: introduce an impairment in the down-converted signal to produce an impaired receive signal; andintroduce an impairment to a transmit signal to produce the impaired transmit signal;a signal transmitted from the emulator core at the central location exterior to the test chamber to the frequency converter at the remote location within the test chamber being one of a baseband and an intermediate frequency signal; andat the central location in proximity to and connected to the emulator core, a wireless communication tester configured to one of process the impaired receive signal and generate the transmit signal. 10. The method of claim 9, wherein the measurement system includes, interior to the test chamber and remote from the emulator core in the central location, a plurality of antennas, each antenna of the plurality of antennas being in proximity to a different frequency converter. 11. A measurement system, comprising: at least one emulator core at a central location exterior to a test chamber and configured to introduce an impairment in one of a received signal and a transmit signal to produce an impaired signal; andat least one frequency converter at a remote location interior to the test chamber in close proximity to an antenna and configured to at least one of: up-convert the impaired signal at one of baseband and a first intermediate frequency to produce an impaired radio frequency, RF, signal to be transmitted by the antenna; anddown-convert an RF signal received by the antenna to produce the received signal at one of baseband and a second intermediate frequency to be impaired by the emulator core. 12. The measurement system of claim 11, further comprising: a plurality of antennas at the remote location within the test chamber, each antenna of the plurality of antennas in proximity to and in communication with a different frequency converter, there being a frequency converter associated with each antenna of the plurality of antennas at the remote location within the test chamber. 13. The measurement system of claim 12, further comprising a plurality of emulator cores and a plurality of communication testers at the central location, each communication tester in proximity to and in communication with a different emulator core of the plurality of emulator cores, each communication tester configured to one of generate the transmit signal to be impaired by one of the plurality of emulator cores and process an impaired received signal received from the one of the plurality of emulator cores. 14. The measurement system of claim 13, wherein the plurality of communication testers are synchronized. 15. The measurement system of claim 11, wherein the transmit signal is digitized prior to impairment. 16. The measurement system of claim 11, wherein at least one frequency converter within the test chamber is connected to one of the at least one emulator cores remote to the test chamber by a cable. 17. The measurement system of 27, further comprising a local oscillator at the central location exterior to the test chamber to produce a local oscillator signal to the frequency converter at the remote location interior to the test chamber. 18. The measurement system of claim 17, wherein the local oscillator signal is carried to the remote location by a cable carrying the impaired signal to the remote location.
