The sensor of claim 1, further comprising sensor electronics configured to process a signal received from the working electrode, wherein the sensor electronics are configured to apply a potential of from about 0.1V to about 0.8V to the working electrode. 6. The sensor of claim 5, wherein the sensor electronics are configured to apply a potential of from about 0.3V to about 0.7V to the working electrode. 7. The sensor of claim 5, wherein the sensor electronics are configured to apply a potential of from about 0.3V to about 0.5V to the working electrode.
