The device of claim 1, wherein a portion of each of the penetrating members has a first cross-sectional volume and a second cross-sectional volume greater than the first cross-sectional volume for mechanical coupling with a driver to drive each penetrating member. 7. The device of claim 1, wherein a front end portion of each of the penetrating members has a smashed end configuration to reduce volume of each penetrating member inside the tissue.
