The mascara composition of claim 1, wherein a ratio of the film former to the volatile carrier is such that the applied mascara composition dries to form a dried film, wherein from about 30% to about 70%, by weight, of the dried film is the film former. 11. The mascara composition of claim 1, wherein a ratio of the film former to the volatile carrier is such that the applied mascara composition dries to form a dried film, wherein from about 40% to about 60%, by weight, of the dried film is the film former. 12. The mascara composition of claim 1, wherein a ratio of the film former to the volatile carrier is such that the applied mascara composition dries to form a dried film, wherein about 50%, by weight, of the dried film is the film former. 13. The mascara composition of claim 1, which comprises less than about 1% by weight of the wax. 14. The mascara composition of claim 1, which comprises less than about 0.1% by weight of the wax. 15. The mascara composition of claim 1, which is substantially free of wax. 16. The mascara composition of claim 1, further comprising a thickener, which includes disteardimonium hectorite particles. 17. The mascara composition of claim 16, wherein the thickener consists of the disteardimonium hectorite particles. 18. The mascara composition of claim 16, wherein the disteardimonium hectorite particles have a diameter that is less than 10 microns. 19. The mascara composition of claim 16, wherein the disteardimonium hectorite particles have a diameter that is less than a thickness of a dried film that is formed when the applied mascara composition dries. 20. The mascara composition of claim 16, wherein the disteardimonium hectorite particles comprise from about 1% to about 25%, by weight, of the mascara composition. 21. The mascara composition of claim 16, wherein the disteardimonium hectorite particles comprise from about 2% to about 20%, by weight, of the mascara composition. 22. The mascara composition of claim 16, wherein the disteardimonium hectorite particles comprise from about 3% to about 15%, by weight, of the mascara composition. 23.
