A rock bucket attachment for securement with a skid steer unit or tractor front loader, the attachment incorporating a bucket for use in combination with a grapple, the bucket having side walls, back walls, and a bottom wall, the grapple interconnecting by lever arms to the side walls of the bucket, the grapple having a pair of side arms pivotally connected with the front of the lever arms, and hydraulic cylinders interconnecting between the back of the side arms and the back end of the side walls, or the frame structure interconnecting between the two, such that when the hydraulic cylinders are actuated, they initially pivot the lever arms forwardly to their fullest extent to arrange the grapple and its rake over a debris pile, and then further actuation of the hydraulic cylinders pivoting the side arms relative to the lever arms to pivot the rake of the grapple downwardly to urge any debris into the bucket as the rake comes into proximity with the front of the bucket, to retain any raked debris therein.

1. A rock bucket attachment incorporating sweep-in grapple for pick up and conveying of miscellaneous debris, including rocks, boulders, trees, and other debris, comprising: a bucket, said bucket having a pair of side walls, a back wall attaching with said side walls, and a bottom wall formed connecting with the approximate bottom of said back wall and located at its sides proximate the bottom of said side walls, and a cross bar connecting between the lower front of the side walls and securing the front of the bottom wall therewith, an upper frame connecting between the approximate upper back of said side walls;a grapple, said grapple incorporating a pair of spaced apart side arms, a structural rake provided affixed between said pair of side arms, a pair of lever arms, said lever arms pivotally connecting with the side arms, the opposite end of each lever arm pivotally connecting with the approximate upper back of each side wall, at least one hydraulic cylinder interconnecting between one of the side walls or upper frame and the approximate back of at least one of the side arms, said hydraulic cylinder when actuated providing for compound movement of the structural rake initially forwardly, and then pivotally downwardly for sweeping debris into the formed bucket, so that when the hydraulic cylinder is actuated, it pivots the grapple with the rake forwardly, and then upon further actuation of the hydraulic cylinder pivoting the structured rake of the grapple in a downward pivot and into contiguity with the front of the bottom wall of the bucket to rake in and pick up any rock or other debris from the surface of the ground; anda first cross rod interconnecting between the approximate front of the pair of lever arms, a second cross rod interconnecting between the approximate back of the pair of the side arms and forwardly of the location where the at least one hydraulic cylinder connects with the side arms, a spring supporting rod connecting with the second cross rod, and said spring supporting rod slideably connecting to said first cross rod, said spring supporting rod extending rearwardly of said first cross rod, and a spring means mounting upon that part of the spring supporting rod extending rearwardly, wherein when the hydraulic cylinder is advanced that initially shifts said grapple forwardly and slightly downwardly, and when the hydraulic cylinder further extends and overcomes the force of the said spring means the grapple rake and its side arms pivot with respect to the lever arms and move the rake into proximity with the front of said bottom wall to rake in and hold any debris into the bucket. 2. The rock bucket attachment of claim 1, wherein there are two hydraulic cylinders provided within the attachment, one of each cylinder attaching between one of the side walls or upper frame and the approximate back of the associated side arm, and the other of said cylinders attaching between the other of the side walls or upper frame and the approximate back of the associated side arm. 3. The rock bucket attachment of claim 1, wherein at least one of said lever arms having a stop portion at its back end, and said stop portion provided for engaging the upper frame during forward movement of said grapple to curtail further pivot of said lever arm during actuation of the associated hydraulic cylinder. 4. The rock bucket attachment of claim 3, and including a stop structure provided upon at least one of said side arms, and said stop structure disposed for engaging the proximate lever arm to curtail further pivot of the rake as it comes into contiguity with the front end of the bucket bottom upon sweeping of debris into the bucket during application. 5. The rock bucket attachment of claim 4, wherein there is a stop structure provided upon each of said side arms, and each stop structure disposed for engaging the proximate lever arm to curtail further pivot of the rake as it comes into contiguity with the front of the bucket bottom during operations of the attachment. 6. The rock bucket attachment of claim 3, wherein each lever arm having a stop portion at its back end, and said stop portion is provided for engaging the upper frame to curtail further pivot of the said lever arms during actuation of the hydraulic cylinders. 7. The rock bucket attachment of claim 4, wherein when the stop portion of each lever arm engages said upper frame, the lever arm ceases pivot, and further actuation of the hydraulic cylinder compresses said spring means thereby continuing the extension of its cylinder rod to continue the further downward pivot of the rake of the grapple to urge said rake to move any debris onto said attachment bucket. 8. The rock bucket attachment of claim 1, wherein said bottom wall is formed of a series of substantially parallel arranged bars, provided between the bucket side walls, and provided for holding debris raked onto the bucket during application. 9. The rock bucket attachment of claim 1, wherein said bottom wall being formed of a series of tubular tines, parallel arranged and spaced apart, located between the side walls of the bucket, and provided for supporting any debris raked into the bucket during operation of the attachment. 10. The rock bucket attachment of claim 8, wherein the spaced apart parallel bars of the bucket bottom wall are formed into a concaved shape to retain any debris raked into the bucket during operations of the attachment. 11. The rock bucket attachment of claim 1, wherein said side walls, at their approximate front, each having an arcuate segment to provide for locating of any length of logs therein and retained by the grapple during operations of the attachment for use for conveying such debris during usage. 12. The rock bucket attachment of claim 1, and including a top wall provided between the pair of lever arms to prevent any debris from being projected upwardly during operations of the bucket attachment. 13. The rock bucket attachment of claim 12, wherein the formed top wall is of a foraminous design.
