A fire-rated angle piece and wall assemblies or other assemblies that incorporate the fire-rated angle piece, in which the angle piece can include an intumescent or other fire-resistant material strip. The angle can be attached adjacent to a corner of a framing member, such as metal tracks, headers, header tracks, sill plates, bottom tracks, metal studs, wood studs or wall partitions, and placed between the framing member and a wall board member at a perimeter of a wall assembly to create a fire block arrangement. A fire spray material can be applied over a portion of the angle piece.

1. A fire-rated wall assembly, comprising: a first vertical wall structure;a second vertical wall structure positioned laterally adjacent to the first vertical wall structure, the first and second vertical wall structures defining a vertical wall gap therebetween, the vertical wall gap comprising a space between the first and second vertical wall structures, the vertical wall gap being bound by opposing edges of the first vertical wall structure; andan elongated, generally L-shaped angle fastened to a vertically-extending corner of the first vertical wall structure that is laterally adjacent to the second vertical wall structure, wherein the L-shaped angle comprises a first leg and a second leg oriented at an angle relative to the first leg, the first leg having a length that is greater than a length of the second leg, the first leg and the second leg each having a free edge and being connected to one another along an edge that is opposite the free edges thereby defining a corner, the first and second legs formed from a single piece of material, the length of the first and second legs extending parallel with a height direction of the first and second vertical wall structures; andat least one fire-resistant seal positioned on a surface of the first leg facing away from the second leg, wherein, in use, the second leg of the L-shaped angle is disposed within the vertical wall gap such that the at least one fire-resistant seal contacts the second vertical wall structure and seals the vertical wall gap while allowing relative movement between the first and second vertical wall structures. 2. The fire-rated wall assembly of claim 1, wherein the at least one fire-resistant seal is compressed between surfaces of the first and second vertical wall structures. 3. The fire-rated wall assembly of claim 1, further comprising an overlapping region defined by portions of the first and second vertical wall structures which define the vertical wall gap, the overlapping region having a length defined by ends of the overlapping region, wherein the at least one fire-resistant seal is positioned between ¼ to ¾ of a distance between the ends of the overlapping region. 4. The fire-rated wall assembly of claim 3, wherein the at least one fire-resistant seal is positioned substantially at a midpoint between the ends of the overlapping region. 5. The fire-rated wall assembly of claim 1, wherein the first vertical wall structure comprises an internal stud wall and the second vertical wall structure comprises one of an external wall structure or window mullion assembly. 6. The fire-rated wall assembly of claim 5, wherein the second leg is fastened to a stud of the internal stud wall by a fastener. 7. A fire-rated movement joint product for a vertical wall gap that extends in a vertical direction between a first vertical wall structure and a second vertical wall structure, comprising: an elongated, generally L-shaped component comprising a first leg and a second leg oriented at an angle relative to the first leg, the first and second legs extending in the vertical direction in use, the first leg having a length that is greater than a length of the second leg, the first leg and the second leg each having a free edge and being connected to one another along an edge that is opposite the free edges thereby defining a corner, the first and second legs formed from a single piece of material; anda first fire-resistant seal positioned on a surface of the first leg facing away from the second leg, and a second fire-resistant seal positioned on a surface of the first leg facing the second leg, wherein the first and second fire-resistant seals extend in the vertical direction in use. 8. The fire-rated movement joint product of claim 7, wherein the first and second fire-resistant seals are positioned at an end of the first leg opposite the corner. 9. The fire-rated movement joint product of claim 7, wherein the corner further comprising a corner bead that protrudes from the first and second legs. 10. A fire-rated movement joint product for a vertical wall gap that extends in a vertical direction between a first vertical wall structure and a second vertical wall structure, comprising: an elongated, generally L-shaped component comprising a first leg and a second leg oriented at an angle relative to the first leg, the first leg having a length that is greater than a length of the second leg, the first leg and the second leg each having a free edge and being connected to one another along an edge that is opposite the free edges thereby defining a corner, the first and second legs formed from a single piece of material;at least one fire-resistant seal positioned on a surface of the first leg facing away from the second leg; anda compressible gasket positioned over the free edge of the first leg opposite the corner. 11. The fire-rated movement joint product of claim 10, wherein the compressible gasket is spaced a distance from the at least one fire-resistant seal. 12. The fire-rated movement joint product of claim 10, wherein the at least one fire-resistant seal is positioned between the compressible gasket and the corner. 13. The fire-rated movement joint product of claim 7, wherein the L-shaped component is formed from a metal material. 14. The fire-rated movement joint product of claim 13, wherein the metal material is comprised of steel. 15. The fire-rated movement joint product of claim 7, wherein the L-shaped component is formed from a non-metal material. 16. The fire-rated movement joint product of claim 15, wherein the non-metal material is comprised of polyvinyl chloride (PVC). 17. The fire-rated movement joint product of claim 7, further comprising a fastener receiving hole positioned on the second leg and configured to receive a fastener. 18. The fire-rated movement joint product of claim 7, wherein the first leg and the second leg each have a planar shape between their respective free ends and the corner.
