The floor panel of claim 1, wherein the first mechanical coupling parts comprise additional horizontally active locking surfaces situated at the height of the location where the top layers of two of such floor panels in coupled condition are flanking each other; and wherein the additional horizontally active locking surfaces are formed in the material of the top layer. 4. The floor panel of claim 1, wherein the first mechanical coupling parts comprise additional vertically active locking surfaces at the lower side of the tongue and the upper side of the lower lip, respectively; and wherein the additional vertically active locking surfaces are formed in the material of the closed cell foamed synthetic material layer. 5. The floor panel of claim 1, wherein the average density of the closed cell foamed synthetic material layer is at least 500 kilograms per cubic meter. 6. The floor panel of claim 1, wherein the closed cell foamed synthetic material layer has a local density on the flat side which is situated closest to the top layer, which is higher than in the center of the closed cell foamed synthetic material layer. 7. The floor panel of claim 6, wherein the closed cell foamed synthetic material layer has a local density on both flat sides which is higher than in the center of the closed cell foamed synthetic material layer. 8. The floor panel of claim 1, wherein the closed cell foamed synthetic material layer is a closed cell foamed PVC layer. 9. The floor panel of claim 1, wherein the substrate has a thickness of at least 5 millimeters. 10. The floor panel of claim 1, wherein the transparent or translucent synthetic material wear layer comprises a vinyl layer; and wherein the transparent or translucent synthetic material wear layer has a thickness of 1 millimeter or less. 11. The floor panel of claim 1, wherein the printed synthetic material film is a printed PVC film. 12. The floor panel of claim 1, wherein the back layer is the thickest and densest layer of the top layer. 13. The floor panel of claim 1, wherein the top layer has a thickness of 0.5 to 3 millimeters. 14. The floor panel of claim 1, wherein the top layer is glued to the substrate. 15. The floor panel of claim 1, wherein the top layer has a density of more than 500 kilograms per cubic meter. 16. The floor panel of claim 1, wherein the top layer has a higher density than the substrate. 17. The floor panel of claim 1, wherein the floor panel has a thickness of 5 to 10 millimeters. 18. The floor panel of claim 1, wherein the floor panel comprises a backing layer below the substrate. 19. The floor panel of claim 18, wherein the backing layer has a lower density than the back layer. 20. The floor panel of claim 1, wherein the floor panel will bend less than 10 centimeters per meter under its own weight. 21. The floor panel of claim 21, wherein the top layer comprises a surface layer located above the transparent or translucent synthetic material wear layer; and wherein the surface layer includes a UV hardened substance. 26. The floor panel of claim 21, wherein the top layer has a thickness of 0.5 to 3 millimeters. 27. The floor panel of claim 21, wherein the floor panel has a thickness of 5 to 10 millimeters. 28.
