The system of claim 1, wherein the security system is in communication with a central monitoring station via a primary communication link, wherein the interface device is in communication with the central monitoring station via a remote network that is different than the primary communication link, wherein the central monitoring station is located external to the premises. 13. The system of claim 12, wherein the interface device is further configured to send, via the remote network, the data from the security system to the central monitoring station. 14. The system of claim 13, wherein the data comprises changes in state of the security system or data received by the security system. 15. The system of claim 13, wherein the data comprises content associated with the premises from a device in communication with the interface device and located at the premises. 16. The system of claim 12, wherein the remote network comprises a broadband interface. 17. The system of claim 12, wherein the remote network comprises a General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) interface. 18. The system of claim 12, wherein the interface device is configured to send, via the remote network, messages comprising data indicative of an event associated with the premises from the security system to a remote client device. 19. A device comprising: one or more processors;memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the device to: receive, from a security system located at a premises, an indication of an interruption in a power source located external to the premises, wherein the power source supplies, via a power switch, power to the security system and to an interface device located at the premises; andcause, based on the indication of the interruption, the power switch to disconnect the interface device from the supply of power. 40. The device of claim 39, wherein the interface device comprises a plurality of components; and wherein the instructions that, when executed, cause the device to cause the power switch to disconnect the interface device from the supply of power comprise instructions that, when executed, cause the device to cause the power switch to disconnect the plurality of components from the supply of power. 41. The device of claim 39, wherein the security system comprises a communication device. 42. The device of claim 41, wherein the instructions that, when executed, cause the device to cause the power switch to disconnect the interface device from the supply of power comprise instructions that, when executed, cause the device to cause the power switch to disconnect the interface device from the supply of power and to supply power to the communication device. 43. The device of claim 39, wherein the device comprises a display; and wherein the instructions, when executed, further cause the device to cause an indication of a power state to output via the display. 44. A system comprising: a security system located at a premises, wherein the security system is configured to: receive power from a power source located external to the premises;send an indication of an interruption of a supply of power from the power source; andsupply, to an interface device and via a power switch, power from one or more of the power source and a backup power source;wherein the interface device is configured to access data from the security system; anda control device configured to cause, based on the indication of the interruption of the supply of power from the power source, the power switch to disconnect the interface device from the supply of power. 50. The system of claim 49, further comprising a security server at a second location different from the premises, wherein the security server is in communication with the interface device; and wherein the security system comprises security system components. 51. The system of claim 50, wherein the interface device is further configured to control communications between the security system components and the security server. 52. The system of claim 50, wherein the security server is configured to periodically perform at least one of creation, modification, deletion, or configuration of at least one of the security system components. 53. A method comprising: receiving, by a control device and from a security system located at a premises, an indication of an interruption in a power source located external to the premises, wherein the security system is configured to receive power from the power source and supply, to an interface device and via a power switch, power from one or more of the power source or a backup power source; and wherein the interface device is configured to access data from the security system; andcausing, by the control device and based on the indication of the interruption, the power switch to disconnect the interface device from the supply of power. 66. The method of claim 65, wherein the causing the power switch to disconnect the interface device from the supply of power comprises sending, to the power switch, a signal. 67. The method of claim 65, wherein the control device comprises a display; and further comprising causing, based on the indication of the interruption, an indication of a power status of the interface device to output via the display. 68. The method of claim 65, wherein the interface device comprises an application on a touchscreen device, wherein the application is configured to enable control of the security system. 69. The method of claim 65, further comprising outputting a control interface through the interface device for control of the security system. 72. The method of claim 65, further comprising sending, to a remote client device and based on the indication of the interruption, an indication of a power state of the security system. 73. The method of claim 72, wherein the remote client device comprises at least one of a personal computer, a personal digital assistant, a cellular telephone, or a mobile computing device. 74. The method of claim 65, wherein the security system is in communication with a central monitoring station via a primary communication link, wherein the interface device is in communication with the central monitoring station via a remote network that is different than the primary communication link. 75. The method of claim 75, wherein the data comprises an indication of at least one of a change in state of the security system or data received by the security system. 77.
