The flood vent of claim 1, wherein each perforation of the first set of one or more perforations comprises a hole that extends entirely through a thickness of the panel. 5. The flood vent of claim 1, wherein each perforation of the first set of one or more perforations comprises a cut-out portion that reduces a thickness of the panel in the location of the perforation without extending entirely through the thickness of the panel in the location of the perforation. 6. The flood vent of claim 1, wherein each perforation of the first set of one or more perforations comprises a pre-stressed portion of the panel. 7. The flood vent of claim 1, wherein each perforation of the first set of one or more perforations comprises a pre-cut portion of the panel. 8.
