An apparatus to maneuver a load includes a set of uprights including a set of legs extending generally vertically upward and a set of arms extending from the legs in an adjustable manner. A set of rollers supports the legs to facilitate rolling of the apparatus over the ground. The load is suspendible within a space between the arms, and the uprights are adjustably movable in a direction toward one another to maneuver the load. The apparatus also may include a set of adjustable links extending between at least two uprights of the set of uprights, wherein the set of adjustable links aid in adjusting the uprights between angled and substantially upright positions. The apparatus may be a hoist for raising or lowering a hard top from a vehicle, wherein the apparatus straddles a vehicle hard top. A method is also disclosed and claimed.

1. An apparatus, comprising: a set of uprights including a set of legs including front and rear legs extending generally vertically upward, and a set of arms extending from the legs in an adjustable manner;a set of adjustable links spaced laterally apart from one another on either side of a longitudinal axis, attached to the front and rear legs by locking couplers, and extending between the front and rear legs to compress the distance between the front and rear legs to raise the apparatus and to extend the distance between the front and rear legs to lower the apparatus, wherein at least one of the adjustable links includes a turnbuckle extending between and coupled to at least two legs of the set of legs to move the legs toward one another, wherein the turnbuckle has threaded portions threadably coupled to corresponding threaded portions of other elements of the at least one adjustable link; anda set of rollers supporting the front and rear legs to facilitate rolling of the apparatus over the ground, wherein a load is suspendible within a space between the arms, and the uprights are adjustably movable via the adjustable links, wherein the turnbuckle is turnable to draw the at least two legs in a direction toward one another to raise the load and to draw the at least two legs apart in a direction away from one another to lower the load. 2. The apparatus of claim 1, further comprising a set of couplings extending from or coupled to the arms. 3. The apparatus of claim 2, wherein the couplings include tubes. 4. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the rollers include caster wheels. 5. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the legs include tubes. 6. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the legs are a leg assembly. 7. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the arms include tubes. 8. A mobile hoist comprising: a set of front legs spaced laterally apart from one another, and extending in a generally vertical direction;a set of rear legs spaced laterally apart from one another and longitudinally from the set of front legs, and extending in a generally vertical direction;a set of front arms spaced laterally apart from one another, and coupled to the set of front legs in a generally vertically adjustable manner;a set of rear arms spaced laterally apart from one another and longitudinally from the set of front arms, and coupled to the set of rear legs in a generally vertically adjustable manner;a set of adjustable links spaced laterally apart from one another attached to the front and rear legs by locking couplers, and extending between the front and rear legs to compress the distance between the front and rear legs to raise the hoist and to extend the distance between the front and rear legs to lower the hoist, and the adjustable links include turnbuckles extending between and coupled to the front and rear legs to move the front and rear legs toward one another, wherein the turnbuckles have threaded portions threadably coupled to corresponding threaded portions of other elements of the adjustable links; anda set of rollers supporting the front and rear legs to facilitate rolling of the hoist over the ground, wherein a load is suspendible by the hoist in a space between the front arms and between the rear arms, and the front and rear legs are adjustably movable via the adjustable links, wherein the turnbuckles are turnable to draw the front and rear legs in a direction toward one another to raise the load and to draw the front and rear legs apart in a direction away from one another to lower the hoist. 9. The hoist of claim 8, wherein the rollers include caster wheels, the front and rear legs include tubes, the front and rear arms include tubes telescoped with respect to the legs. 10. The hoist of claim 8, further comprising a set of couplings carried by the front and rear arms and coupled to the load. 11. The hoist of claim 10, wherein the set of couplings adjustably couples to a set of load mounts configured to be coupled to the load, wherein the set of load mounts is spaced longitudinally apart from one another, and the set of couplings is telescoped with respect to the set of load mounts. 12. The hoist of claim 8, wherein the hoist is a traversable, height adjustable apparatus. 13. The hoist of claim 8, wherein the front and rear arms are detachedly connected to the front and rear legs by removable lock members. 14. The hoist of claim 8, wherein the hoist is used for removing or attaching a hard top from a vehicle, the set of front legs includes two front leg assemblies and the set of rear legs includes two rear leg assemblies at four corners of the hoist, the set of front arms includes two front arms telescoped to the set of front legs and the set of rear arms includes two rear arms telescoped to the set of rear legs, and the set of rollers include four caster wheels. 15. The hoist of claim 8, wherein the locking couplers include lock pins, screws, nails, or bolts. 16. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the locking couplers include lock pins, screws, nails, or bolts. 17. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the turnbuckle is attached to the locking couplers to move the front and rear legs away from one another. 18. The apparatus of claim 8, wherein the turnbuckles are attached to the locking couplers to move the front and rear legs away from one another. 19. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the turnbuckles are pivotably coupled to the legs. 20. The apparatus of claim 8, wherein the turnbuckles are pivotably coupled to the legs.
