- 세포의 비특이성 흡착 방지용 재료로 사용되고 있는 플루로닉(Pluronic)과 폴리하이드록시스티렌(poly(p-hydroxy styrene)) 등의 재료를 실리콘 웨이퍼(Si-wafer)나 고분자 재료 위에 박막을 형성시킨 후에 다양한 조건하에서 이온 주입하여 비특이성 흡착 방지용 고분자 패턴을 형성하고 형성된 패턴의 표면 분자 구조, 표면 물성, 및 표면 형태학 등은 적외선 분광분석기(FT-IR), X-ray 광전자 분광 분석기(XPS), 접촉각 측정기(contact angle meter), 주사전자현미경(scanning electron microscope) 등을 이용하여 관찰하였다.

- 선택적으로 이온주입 및 이온 주입 후 기능성 단량체(아크릴산)의 그라프트 중합을 통해 고분자 재료(PET, PTFE, FEP 등)들의 표면에 생체분자의 고정화를 위한 관능기(COOH 등) 패턴을 형성하였다. 이온주입에 의하여 개질된 재료 표면의 분자 구조, 표면 물성 및 표면 형태학 등은 적외선 분광분석(FT-IR), 접촉각 측정, 주사전자현미경(SEM) 등을 이용하여 관찰하였다. 최종적으로 선택적으로 개질된 재료 위에 세포, DNA, 단백질 등과 같은 생체분자를 고정화한 다음, 생체분자 패턴의 형성 여부를 형광 현미경, 공초점 레이저 현미경 등을 이용하여 확인하였다.

- 선택적 이온주입 및 이온 주입 후 기능성 단량체(아크릴산)의 그라프트 중합을 통해 다양한 플라스틱 기판 위에 생체분자를 고정화할 수 있는 관능기(functional group) 패턴을 형성시킨 후, 플라스틱 기판 위에 형성된 관능기 패턴에 탄저균(Anthrax toxin) 검출을 위한 특이 염기서열을 갖는 마커인 탐침DNA(p-DNA; probe DNA), 간암 검출을 위한 간암마커 검출항체(anti-AFP; anti-alpha-feto protein)를 고정화시켰다. 이후 탄저균 검출을 위하여 포획분자들의 패턴이 형성된 기판 위에 형광 표지된 탄저균 표적 DNA 분자 혹은 간암의 경우 간암마커인 항체를 농도별로 형광 검출을 통해 바이오센서 검출 감도를 평가하였다.

- MWCNT의 분산성을 향상시키기 위해 방사선을 이용하여 MWCNT를 표면처리를 한 후, 2 wt% 표면처리된 CNT 원액(1 g)을 보습제(5 ~ 20 wt%), 계면활성제(1 ~ 5 wt%), 방부제 등의 첨가물과 혼합하여 2 wt% 분산도를 갖는 MWCNT 전도성 잉크를 제조하였다. 제조된 MWCNT 전도성 잉크를 이용한 다양한 기판들에 실제 잉크젯 프린팅을 통해 전도성 미세패턴을 형성하였다. 형성된 패턴의 전도도를 면저항 측정기를 이용하여 분석하였고, 제조된 잉크를 잉크젯 프린팅 전후의 MWCNT의 구조 및 MWCNT network 구조 분석을 주사전자현미경(SEM)과 투과전자현미경(TEM)를 이용하여 분석하였다.

- 임프린트 리소그래피용 나노복합소재를 제조하기 위해서 암실에서 우레탄 아크릴레이트 올리고머, 아크릴레이트 단량체, POSS 나노충진제, 그리고 광개시제들을 적절한 배합비로 반응기에 넣은 후, 실온에서 40분 동안 교반하여 제조하였다. 제조된 나노복합소재의 특성은 굴절률 측정기, 점도 측정기, 밀도 측정기들을 이용하여 분석하였다. 최종적으로 제조된 나노복합소재를 다양한 조건하에서 방사선 가교하였고 가교된 나노복합임프린트 소재의 특성들을 팽윤도 및 접촉각 측정, 만능시험분석기(UTM), 열중량분석기(TGA), 적외선분광기(FT-IR)들을 이용하여 분석하였다.
○ 방사선이용 리소그래피 소재 표면 처리기술 개발
- 기존의 열경화법을 통해 제조된 PDMS 리소그래피 소재를 20 ~ 200 kGy의 흡수선량 조건에서 전자빔 조사를 통해 개질하였고, 개질된 PDMS 시트의 특성을 팽윤도 및 접촉각 측정, 만능시험분석기(UTM), 열중량분석기(TGA), X선 광전자 분광기(XPS)들을 이용하여 분석하였다.
○ 실리콘 나노와이어 기반 나노바이오센서 제작 및 나노바이오센서의 신호증폭 기술 개발
- 전자빔 기반의 나노임프린트 리소그래피기술을 이용하여 단일선 실리콘 나노 와이어들과 나노바이오센서의 신호증폭을 위해 표면적이 넓은 다선 형태의 실리콘 나노와이어들을 제작한 후 양 전극을 증착시켜 FET(전기장효과트랜지스터) 기반의 전극 소자를 제작하여 전기적 측정 기반의 바이오센서를 제작하였다. 제작된 나노바이오센서들에 우울증의 근원으로 생각되어지는 Dopamine과 파킨스병의 유발물질로서 각광 받는 Gamma-Amino Butyric Acid(GABA) 표적물질들을 포획할 수 있는 각각의 포획분자들을 고정화한 후 농도별로 비표지 방식 검출을 통해 나노바이오센서 검출 감도를 평가하였다.
○ 초고감도 비표지 방식의 실리콘 나노와이어 기반 나노바이오센서 제작기술 개발

The condition for the formation of conductive patterns was optimized through practical inkjet printing on various substrates using the prepared ink. The prepared nanocomposites were analyzed by using refractometer, viscometer, and specific gravity cup. Finally, the resultant nanocomposites were crosslinked by electron beam irradiation under the various conditions, and their properties were investigated in terms of swellability, wettability, compressive strength, and thermal stability.
