국립암센터의 실험동물실을 효율적으로 운영하여 내·외부의 연구자들에게 최적의 전임상 연구환경을 제공하고, 다양한 동물 모델을 확보하고 개발하여 암연구를 활성화시킴

- 안정적인 실험동물실 운영
1) 암연구의 특성에 따른 장비․시설 및 인원의 합리적 배치 및 운영, SOP 보완

국립암센터의 실험동물실을 효율적으로 운영하여 내·외부의 연구자들에게 최적의 전임상 연구환경을 제공하고, 다양한 동물 모델을 확보하고 개발하여 암연구를 활성화시킴

□ 연구개발성과의 활용계획(기대효과)

2) 다양한 신규 동물 모델을 구축하여 연구자들에게 제공함으로써 암의 진단, 치료, 예방의 근거 자료를 생산하기 위한 연구 기반을 제공
3) “암모델 유전자변형 마우스” 들은 추가 연구와 활용을 통해 국립암센터 내부 연구자들의 연구자의 연구역량강화 및 경구경쟁력 강화. 유전자변형 마우스는 다른 연구기관과 공동연구를 추진하고, 이를 통해 국내 연구기관에 공급함여 바이오 관련 연구, 신 치료법/신약 target 발굴, 신약 스크리닝 등에 활용.

1. We aim in stably operating the animal facility in National Cancer Center.
Through such those activities, we could 1) boost the cancer research, 2) preserve animal models for cancer research and 3) develop new applications using non-invasive imaging equipment and automatic immuno-staining instrument.
2. Generation, analysis and application of mouse models of human cancer for investigating
cancer genes, validating of anti-cancer candidate and efficacy prediction of anti-ancer drug.
4. The main purpose of this project is to collaborate on the basic and translational research projects in NCC by providing the useful zebrafish models for cancer research and the fundamental informations about for cancer related genes using genetic modified transgenic and/or knockout zebrafish models. To do this, A). the zebrafish facility were maintained stably, B. the continuous development of novel zebrafish cancer genetic modified models, C. the precise analysis for the newly developed cancer models.

□ Expected Contribution
1. Provide SPF-level animal experimental facility to researchers inside as well as outside national cancer center.
2. This facility would contribute to the basic cancer research in the filed of cancer initiation, progression and mestasis.
3. Furthermore, as a result of appropriate-maintenance, it would be suitable for non-clinical animal experiments for anti-cancer drug developments.
4. We also expect to train and produce experts who can serve and develop various animal experiments.These GEMs will be used in the functional analysis of the oncogenes and/or tumor suppressors, and are expected to be used asmouse cancer models.
5. Collectively these mice are useful in cancer research and in revealing the gene's function.
6. Furthermore to developing mouse models will be the technical base to developing other mouse models.
7. The establishment of research infra supporting for NCC, domestic and international cancer research by providing useful animal cancer models
8. The expected contribution or the research/industrial fields in cancer target validation, evaluation and preclinical applications.
9. The expected contribution for the advanced concept cancer preclinical research by providing transparant immunodeficient zebrafish xenograft models.
