○ 아동학대 피해자들을 종단 추적할 수 있는 모델을 개발하고, 아동학대 피해자들을 추적한 종단연구 자료를 토대로 아동학대 피해자 제공 서비스 모듈 개발 및 그 효과성을 검증하여 효율적인 아동학대 피해자 서비스 제공 체계를 마련하고자 함.

○ 1차 년도 연구에는 아동학대 피해자 추적모델 개발을 위한 준비 과정으로써, 중앙아동보호전문기관의 행정데이터베이스를 종단추적 연구가 가능할 수 있는 종단데이터베이스(DB)로 전환·구축하였음. 둘째, 구축된 DB를 활용하여 아동학대 발생 및 재발생의 위험요인을 분석하는 작업을 진행하였음

○ 2차 년도 연구에는 구축된 DB를 활용하여 아동학대발생 및 재발생의 위험요인을 계속 확인하였고, 아동학대 피해아동 종단추적연구를 위해 예비연구를 실시하였음. 또한 1차 년도에 이어 아동학대 보호서비스 모듈을 개발하였고, 아동학대 피해사례에 대한 심층 조사와 분석을 실시하였음.

○ 3차 년도에는 2차 년도에서 개발된 아동보호 서비스 모듈을 시범 적용(pilot study)하고, 그 결과를 토대로 아동보호 서비스 모듈을 수정·보완하였음. 또한 종단데이터베이스(DB)를 업데이트하고 이를 활용하여 아동학대 발생 및 재발생의 위험요인을 계속해서 확인하였음.

○ 4차 년도에는 3차 년도에서 시범 적용(pilot study)하여 수정·보완한 아동보호 서비스 모듈을 시행하고 1차 코호트를 대상으로 서비스효과성 검증연구를 위한 기초선 조사 및 2차 자료를 수집하였음. 이후 종단 패널자료를 활용하여 재학대 발생의 변화 추이 및 위험요인에 대한 분석, 서비스 효과성 평가분석, 그리고 대상 아동의 변화 추이 및 회복에 영향을 미치는 요인 분석 등을 실시하였음.

○ 5차 년도에서는 1차 코호트 조사과정에서 나타난 아동보호 서비스 모듈의 개선점을 반영하여 수정·보완한 아동보호 서비스 모듈을 2차 코호트를 대상으로 시행하고, 1·2차 코호트를 대상으로 효과성 검증 및 추적 조사를 실시하였음. 또한 완료된 1차 코호트에 대한 종단추적조사를 활용해 아동학대 피해아동 종단추적 모델을 토대로 피해아동에 대해 종단 추적조사를 수행하였음.

○ 6차 년도: 6차 년도에서는 2차 코호트 조사를 완료하고 이를 활용하여 피해 아동에 대한 종단분석을 수행하였음. 분석은 1차 서비스효과성 종단패널자료와 마찬가지로 성향점수매칭분석을 활용하였음. 또한 최종적으로 지금까지 진행한 연구 결과들을 집대성하여 아동학대 보호서비스 체계 개선방안을 마련하였음.

The purpose of this research is to develop longitudinal tracking model for child abuse victims; develop longitudinal data to examine the health and well-being of child abuse victims; develop and evaluate service modules for child abuse victims; and to ultimately develop a service system that is essential and effective for child abuse victims.

○ During the first year of the study, we 1) developed a longitudinal administrative data that could evaluate occurrence and reoccurrence of child abuse; 2) examined the risk factors associated with occurrence and reoccurrence of child abuse; 3) selected major indicators and standardized measurements for a longitudinal panel study on child abuse victims and 4) developed a service module for child abuse victims.

○ During the second year, we 1) continued to evaluate the risk factors associated with occurrence and reoccurrence of child abuse; 2) conducted pilot study for the longitudinal panel study on child abuse victims; 3) developed child protective service module; 4) conducted qualitative study on service utilization and growth of individuals with a history of Child Protective Service involvement.

○ During the third year, we 1) implemented the pilot study of service module and 2) revised the service module and 3) updated the administrative longitudinal database.

○ During the fourth year, we completed the data collection for the first cohort; conducted longitudinal analyses using both the panel and administrative longitudinal data to understand the reoccurrence of child abuse, implemented the application of the revised service module, evaluated service effectiveness, analyzed recurrence of child abuse trajectories and risk factors.

○ During fifth year, we modified the service modules based on previous analytic findings and implement the revised service modules. In addition, we completed the first two data collections for the second cohort of longitudinal panel study, and conducted further longitudinal tracking studies based on the child abuse victim longitudinal administrative data from the first cohort.

○ During the sixth year, we completed the data collection for the second cohort and also continue longitudinal data analyses using the second cohort panel and administrative data. Analysis was conducted by propensity score matching, using both the longitudinal administrative data and service effectiveness panel data. As an end product, we produced 1) validated longitudinal tracking model for child abuse victims; 2) evidence-based child protective service modules for child abuse victims; and 3) recommendations to modify the child protective system.
