The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of regular xercise on antioxidant enzyme activities. The subjects 16 male adults who have no physical diseases have been selected randomly and ivided into two groups. One group has 8 members who are to do regular exercise, and the other has 8 members for comparison. Average and standard deviation has been obtained using SPSSWIN10.0 on data collected from 12-week experiment and treatment. In order to confirm the difference of treatment period between two groups, variance analysis has been performed with repeated measurement. Confirmation afterwards has been made with SNK.Results obtained through analysis are as follows.1. SOD, Catalase and GSH among antioxidant enzymes have significant difference between treatment groups. Treatment period has no significant difference between two groups. 2. GSSH among antioxidant enzymes has significant difference between treatment groups and between treatment periods.3. While H202 has significant difference between treatment groups, MDA has significant difference only between treatment periods.The conclusion that regular exercise activates antioxidant enzyme and lowers MDA level has been obtained from the results above. Thus it has been shown that mild exercise, not intensive, on a regular basis can reduce the damage of active oxygen.
