The purpose of this study was to find the recent research trend and suggest challenges of researches on Practical arts classroom instruction at the elementary level. Research method of the study was the synthesis on researches in journal articles of the Society of practical arts education. The findings of this study are as follows : First, many kinds of researches were performed, but the recent research trend was leaned to quantitative research tradition. Most of researches were prescriptive and experimental. Second, Qualitative research tradition was of small number relatively and the scope of description or the depth of interpretation was entry-level.Third, For improvement of researches on Practical arts classroom instruction, it was need professionals with research capability and co-work system between researcher and teacher.
